I decided to make a gift for my best friend's birthday

I opened a discussion to get ideas for a gift. Some of you gave me some good tips and from these tips came a very good idea. He is a musician. Bass player. So I decided to handcraft a "Bass clock". A piece of wood with a clock I bought. The top part of the "clock" is an exact copy of his Fender bass. I mean the top end where the tuners keys are. I found some old bass strings and will put them on too! I am so excited I want to tell him hahahaha. He will freak out!!!

That is such a cool idea! Wow, this is really not just about how it's only the thought that counts, the actual expression on the person when you give your hand-made gift is a gift in return to you! It's a joy! I like making gifts also rather than buying them. When I have the time and resources, I will definitely be making gifts all the time. (^_^)

It takes time but it is a very good feeling when yu create something with your hands. My friend loved it and suggested that I start making more nad selling them. I think I might do it.

That's an awesome idea. I would do the same if I know how to do it. Since crafting is so my not cup of tea, I would probably go something related to music that I can buy. There's probably CDs that he like but didn't purchased yet or something collectible online.
Well, yours is the best idea so go for it! I am sure your friend will love it!

It is easier than you think. You could also ask for help from someone who knows. Besides it doesn't have to be perfect. We are not machines.
