I like the taste of chocolate milk, my kids prefer it too rather than just pure milk everyday. If I am too exhausted for the whole day, I just drink 1 glass of chocolate milk, and it relaxes me and gives me some energy to keep going.. I just don't know if anyone else feels this.

Chocolate milk got its place, for my taste it is better than a cup of coffee. It is a good flavored cup of milk. When I was a kid my mom was buying the powdered version of chocolate milk from "Nesley Quick",which I can have drank the whole thing if my mom would have let me.

I drink chocolate milk all the time, and never experienced any problems drinking it before I go to bed. I usually drink it to help me relax, but I never had any issues with being kept awake at night. Usually, it's the opposite for me. That is why I drink it, and I drink a lot of it, but never had any problems keeping me awake.

Good for you. I know chocolate milk is very delicious, you can't substitute "the thing". I loved to drink one glass of chocolate milk everyday when I was pregnant with my last one.

well i have drank chocolate milk plenty of times before going to bed and for me i still fall a sleep even with strawberry milk and soda. but i guess there some people that think that it would keep them up if they do drink chocolate milk like my mother she would be up all night.

yes it depend on the way your system assimilate it. It does not do the same to everybody which is a relief. It is not wrong to drink some good chocolate milk at night for some and other it doesn't work right with the stomach.

I don't think it would be harmful provided you make sure you brush your teeth before you actually go to bed and after you've had the chocolate milk. Milk should actually help you sleep and I don't think the chocolate would counteract that entirely.

I do think that it depend on your digestion. Some people have no problems with anything they take at night and others, well the digestion doesn't synchronize well in itself which half of the night you stomach is busy having overtime work on the digestion department.Anyway, I think that just because there is some sugar added in the chocolate milk it will have some side effect like .

Oh boy yes it does give you a real good breakfast with toast in the morning. And then you got the energy to go through the morning and bring you to noon for lunch and find the day that is not too bad after all.

The chocolate might actually give you energy and keep you awake, but if you do it every night then your body adjusts to it. Milk gives me a stomach ache before I go to bed, but everyone is different. It might keep you up if you go off your normal routine.

Yes it does that to me too. Milk alone at night could give me a bit of a tummy ache. I had tried awhile ago hot milk with honey an it did help but now i think my digestion changed and don't think it would work the same, it has to be at least a good 2 hours before bed time.

If chocolate milk works similarly to white milk it should make you sleepy actually. I'm not sure exactly what happens but it has something to do with chemicals in the milk or your metabolism or something. I've never had any kind of milk before going to bed so I don't really know how it affects you. But the extra sugar in the chocolate milk might actually give you more energy. Why not try it one night and if you stay awake till 1 AM then you'll know not to drink that stuff before sleeping.

I'm not sure if I'm that brave to try it because my system is that anything that = extra energy is for sure for me going to do an effect on dear me! I don't want to have to count the stars. But that doesn't mean that if one day I have to drive late at night to get somewhere I might consider it, LOL.

I don't drink milk before I go to sleep just because it dehydrates me! I'll go to sleep with an icky taste in my mouth (unless I drink it before I brush my teeth) and I'll feel really dehydrated and wake up and drink about 2 gallons of water in about an hour after falling asleep. Plus, sugar before bed isn't really a good idea (unless you have a very high tolerance for sugar). How about de-caf tea before you go to sleep, hold the sugar?

Yes I do believe that milk before bed gives you an after taste, unlike water. Often I've noticed that milk can give you extra digestive discomfort at night unless its hot milk with honey than ????? But yes a good cup of tea is better I agree with you.
