I am Christian and i pray but i don't pray loud like praying to disturb others. We had this neighbor, our boarders at the other house. I don't know what their religion is but i respect any religion. What i don't like is that this neighbor which her room is just across my room and its like everyday she prays loud along with a christian music (the annoying one) early in the morning like 4am. Tell me if its wrong for me to feel annoyed and angry. Its really disturbing and really driving me nuts because it affects my sleep. I work late online and i badly need sleep and can't have it because i always woke up by her noise and can hardly get back to sleep again. My Dad and Mum knows my suffering. I'm trying my best to keep my patience but i think its my right to have sleep. She should have the common sense, consideration and respect with his neighbor. Its very early in the morning and she should know that. I am wrong with my feelings and thoughts? How do you deal with it?

Everyone has a right to pray in whichever way they choose. However, that doesn't mean you disturb others or draw attention to yourself. That is hypocrasy.

I agree that we have the right to pray whichever way we choose but that doesn't mean we have the right to disturb others. We all have the right to have peace and quiet in our own house. I don't disturb them as a respect so they should respect too. I put myself on a right place to pray louder and that is on the church and not praying anywhere to draw attention from others, most of all disturb others privacy. I dont think its right especially very early in the morning. If i play music early in the morning like i dont care if i disturb you or other sleeping, do you think you will like it?

No. I pray silently when I'm alone. Though when with my family, there are times wherein we pray loud together. I used to request my 6 years old little boy to pray loudly, that everyone could hear, I mean the six of us during the prayer session. I remember when I was away. I attended this prayer meeting or Bible study wherein when we pray it's like as if we are shouting. It's our way to talk to the Lord. It's like you have to shout your prayers out for Jesus to hear. Funny but in a way it was a very nice experience.

I understand that, we pray together with family too but not loud enough to be heard by neighbors and in church thats understandable that people together pray louder but thats in the right place, its a mix of people praying in their own different way and thats more understandable because they are in church. I already solve the problem by confronting her yesterday and she is now aware and she apologized. Thats a relief. Happy mylotting!

I do pray OUT LOUD sometimes, meaning that I am audible to someone else in the same room, if they were there. But as far as praying loud enough to be heard by neighbors and disturbing others, there's just no point to that. I don't claim to know the whole bible verse for verse, but there is a scripture that says that people with real faith pray in private, because this is a conversation between you and God. When a person tries to make a spectacle of themselves in prayer, they are looking for approval from other people, and not God.

your exactly right, I don't mind them praying loud as long as it doesn't disturb me in the middle of the night or in the early morning when you are still sleeping worst playing loud music. I mean i can still bear the loud prayers but the waking up because of the music very very early is like depriving me my privacy. I had confront yesterday when i woke up again because of her noise and she apologize and now she don't play it anymore and she lowered her voice when praying now. At least she heard me now and hope she will be sensitive with her action the enxt time. I'm glad i had a good sleep today, peaceful and quiet now.
