Mandala come back in April

I had bad experience about last year when Mandala Airlines suddenly closed due to bankruptcy while I have held some tickets in the next months.So My Air ticket was burn out and I need to search another ticket which is more expensive..I have read news about Mandala plan to take off again in April..here’s the news from Tempo interaktif: Mandala Airlines is preparing to take off again this year. The company, with 51 percent of its shares owned by Saratoga Capital, will be in operations by April. Saratoga Capital CEO Sandiaga Salahudin Uno said that his company is still waiting for air worthiness certificate or Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Transport Ministry. Sandiaga is optimistic that the certificate will be issued within the next one or two weeks. Sandiaga went on that as soon as the certificate is issued his airline will be able to start operating within two months. “So, if we receive the AOC on February, we’ll be able to fly by April,” said Sandiaga on Sunday. I think I will wait until the service already stable and better rather than speculate again..How about you? What do you think about this news?

really?? welcome back to mandala.. yes, i ever heard about Mandala if iam not wrong, Mandala is one of the older air plane company in indonesia beside Garuda indonesia, and Merpati Air

well, yes you are right.. We have many old airlines which already been closed due to financial crisis ..There were Sempati, Bouraq, Mandala and last but not least adam air.. I think the last one is the most controversy since it has accident which still mystery until now.. I am not sure whether the incidents being investigated properly or just forgot like that..That always happen in our country , the breaking news is always hot but if no more interesting or nobody further development they switch to other news which will be hotter and so on… appreciate your response..

yes, i remember too sempati and bouraq they are closed not because the flight accident if iam not wrong but the poor management maybe or they go bankrupt

Well, I think so..Mandala used to belong to private and already bankrupt and this news really great for the business. I think most importantly is the competition will be tougher which make the price drop..I remember when Adam Air still exist , they were really crazy and sold the airline tickets like peanuts, so cheap and really ruin up the market those days.. Now, the price goes up but because people has already using airplane frequently then Airline still the most favorite transportation for Indonesian..

I think that was good news for government as well, they get more tax and aviation fuel will have new customer as well.. However, the news is about overtaken by private ownership.. I think that was foreign group who has big capital and maybe seeing air transportation as most favorite ways for most of the people of Indonesia..appreciate your response..
