Spamming is a Grime!!!

oh oh I mean a CRIME!! oh it's like a grime too it's dirty!
If you are a member of mylot for a while you definitely saw a lot of spammers come and go in mylot...
We know spamming is a mortal (yeah mortal) sin in mylot, it's not just about violating the guidelines, it's annoying when you see the same post (usually referral link or link to a personal blog) again and again in different discussions, but sometimes some members usually new members still click on those links, why can I say so? because they would say something in their response that obviously shows that they do , "nice blog it's interesting", "it sounds good, is it legitimate?", or ask other details about the blog or the site where link is directed to,
In my opinion I think we should not click on those links because that would trigger the spammer to keep on spamming because they know that they do get members attention and they can get more visits/views for their blogs. I also observed that some usually post such links just a few hours after the daily update so that their post will be there for a longer time even if some members will report it. I also think some of them just keep coming back creating new accounts after they get banned..hmm smart spammers,
Let's deny them what they want. Traffic. Don't click on spammers' links

First, Why have you removed your avatar?
I find it has been missing for a while now...
The spammers have a short life span here at MyLot and it is good for the website. Either they change or they leave... either way, for the peace of all who stay back, life turns out to be good.
For me, I do not have any links anywhere that I can share to consider them as spam. Yes, I do at times post some relevant links from the big lovely informative world of Internet only when that will add to my response to the discussion. For all who post referral links - I follow the recommended rules - "report to admin"

regarding the avatar it's a long story but it's about the discussion I've started that was deleted, I really believe it wasn't a violation and send admin a message about it but haven't receive a reply about it, so it's like a silent protest
yeah spammers have a short lifespan but they can still come back again and again using a new account, that part of mylot is great for people who want second chance but that part is also abused by those who are just here to spam they just create a new account and they can spam again and again

Yes! I hate spammers too! Especially those that send spam to my emails. They clog up my mails and space. They are really annoying. That is why, whenever I get to see some links, I try to figure out first if it is most likely a spam. I will avoid those which are probably spam in the first place. Yes, we should not be caught by those spammers and let them benefit from us. They are annoying and should be reported immediately to be terminated as soon as possible.

A grime, a crime and several other things. Although some spam that I receive in e-mails tends to make me chuckle at the absolute absurdity before I hit the old delete button. Then again, I wonder how successful it can be. Obviously on a website such as myLot, where things get deleted and people aren't going to be looking for referral links, just discussions, it is not going to last that long.
It really does shake my head, when spam, the grime that paints over good discussions pops up. Now most of the spam, I'm sure we won't notice but I have seen it. Then again, there are people who never learn and they act like they were the ones that is slighted. Such is the nature of the spam artist and potentially the scam artist as well.

Spamming is just annoying. Ok i understand guys trying to get exposure and numbers for their blogs but they should do somewhere else.

yeah they should do it somewhere else and not in mylot, mylot is such a great site by spamming in mylot they are missing the chance to be in a great community..
