Coin sewed in trouser

Ukay-ukay or second-hand clothes abounds in local market. Twice I discovered coins sewed in trousers. Up to now I'm still wondering what could be the message behind such scheme. Can you share your experience? Guess a reason why the original owner or the shop tailor embedded coins in trousers.

I think that would be a design for the trousers in which the maker or owner has thought. Maybe it could be a unique signature of the product for it to be recognize by the public that has its originality and style.
