Most anticipated game of 2012

I was just curious what the general consensus was here about the most anticipated game of 2012. There are so many new great games scheduled to come out this year with big names like Mass Effect 3. I would love to hear why as well, so please dont just put a title name down. I think my most anticipated game for 2012 will be Xcom, the firaxis one not the other. My reasoning for this is I recently went back and played the original xcom, a really hard game for those of you who havent played it before. I beat it in a couple of days and was really proud of it. The improved graphics, which isn't hard since the original was made in 1999, and the gameplay looks awesome from the pictures that have been released. Well that is my pick, what is yours?

For me it's definitely Mass Effect 3.
Bioware hasn't disappointed us so far, both Mass Effect 1 and 2 have been great games, with an epic and very interesting story, great characters and great gameplay. I personally cannot wait to see how it will end, I'm sure it's going to be awesome. From what I've seen so far, the trailers and screencaps that have been released, it definitely looks like it's going to be a great game.

Yeah, I'm curious about it too... not that I will be able to use it anyway, since I don't even have an Xbox 360, but it seems interesting nonetheless :)

To be honest I can't decide just one specific game I'm excited for in 2012. But a couple titles would have to be Starhawk. Ever since I saw a demo of it on youtube its looked just plain awsome to me. A lot of people don't seem to be as much anymore but Im still a huge fan of 3rd person shooters. Also placing outlines of buildings then watching them fall out of the sky looks cool. Another one would have to be "The Last of Us". I am a huge fan of Survival Horror type games. This game was made by Naughty Dog who was the company that created the "Crash", and "Uncharted" series which turned out amazing. So I have high hopes for this game. Hitman Absolution is another one, I loved Hitman Blood Money for PS2 so it will be cool to see a Hitman game be released for PS3. Bio Shock Infinite and Far Cry 3 are a couple other titles I'm looking forward to as well. 2012 seems like a good year for the video game industry.

Oh yeah I completely forgot about Infinite and far cry 3. Far cry is still one of the best shooters ive ever played, so intense, but far cry 2 was such a disappointment. Really looking forward to seeing if they can come back with a better game. I agree, I might have to start earning some extra money from somewhere if I am gonna be able to afford all these games this year lol.

It's pretty sad but I don't have any game I'm looking forward to anymore. Maybe Starcraft Heart of Swarm and I'll give Shootmania a try. Also Last of Us looks kinda interesting but don't know if it'll come out in 2012.

I agree with a lot of titles already named like Starhawk, Mass Effect 3 and the Last of Us for example. One more that I'll add to the mix is the next Assassin's Creed, rumored to be titled Assassin's Creed III. Early whispers on this game, targeted to hit stores in October, are that it will complete the prime antagonist, Desmond's storyline.
