I am lack of persistence myself

Today, when I clean up my bookshelf, I remember that I haven't finished one of those book I borrow from my friend, and it was already 6 months ago, and probably he forget that he let me borrow his book too. Also, there were tons of project I planned to do years ago, which I jotted down in a small notebook, and when I open it up again, it was all dusty. Am I lack of persistent myself I have to ask myself? Because there were so many dreams and projects on my head for the moment, or maybe just a whim. Hours or days later, I just let it go. I should keep on doing something persistently as a good friend told me before.

I don't think you lack persistence. I think what it is is that life gets in the way and we tend to forget things. We try hard to keep them in the forefront of our minds, but things do come up and those things just slip our minds. It is normal and human. Everyone does it.

Firstly, those projects you were set on doing must have not been all that interesting to you or you would have made time to do them. You may live a busy life, but it something is important to you, make time to do it if it isn't you will most likely not do it. Don't be hard on your self because you aren't accomplishing as much as you want to. Just take it slow and find out where your true interests lies and go from there.

Your friends are right. Without being persistent, how can we reach our goals? I have noticed that many successful people have reached what they want through persistent effort. Look at chinese people who struggle hard to earn a living. You should learn from the way chinese people live a good life. Happy mylotting.
