Hi There guys,
I seem to have a problem reading the bible every-time I stop i get distracted and i just dont continue sometimes i think that evil stuff don't want me to read but that is weird and paranoia much of me so i think the best way is for me to just jog to a church and bring my bible there and read there in silence and i wouldn't be afraid since there are lots of people there and its a cool place to read the bible.

it can be a good idea, if you ask me. i think sometimes it is not really more on other people.. it is actually more of ourselves. like what Jesus has said too... that the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak and we all get these all the time... that we are somehow unable to read the bible because we think we can read it some other time.

You hit the nail on the head, when you mentioned evil distractions. Now you are ahead of the game, just by knowing that. I suggest that you pray before you read, for God to clear your mind and give you peace during your time with Him. Remember He said "ask and you will receive".

Satan has lots of ways to distract us from reading the Bible because he does not want us to know the truth, he does not want us to know God's commandment. He does not want us to live a life that conforms with the WORD but rather live in accordance with the world. If you truly do possess the Holy Spirit though, you can always just pray and ask the Holy Spirit of God within you to overcome all kinds of distractions that Satan give you. It is also the Holy Spirit which will point you to the truth. Only those who possess the Holy Spirit can understand the Bible the way God wants us to. Many read the Bible but distorts it in accordance with their lifestyle. Many others read but do not believe, some have read it in totality but still they prefer to follow what many others are doing instead of following the Word of God. Some have read only some parts and believe they know already the whole Bible so that they are but lost and could not live rightly because they don't fully know the Word of God. so indeed Satan will not allow you to be able to read the Bible each time you attempt to do it. But would you allow Satan to overrule your heart's desire to know God more. It is in the Bible where we could know Him more so take each ever opportunity to read it. Don't mind Satan, just mind your heart's desire and ask God to help you do it.
The Word of God is a lamp unto our feet and the light unto my path. I hope you also get the same benefits. Keep reading the Bible and learn from it. You will never regret it.

In the bible there is a verse that says you should give out small portion of your income to the poor, meaning that you should distribute a little amount of your income. I also heard that the more you give out, the better it is.

This one verse that makes me happy:
Psalm 1:1-3 King James Version (KJV) 1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
The first 39 books from Genesis to Malachi (Old Testament) were written mostly in Hebrew and the last 27 books (New Testament) from Matthew to Revelation (Apocalypse) were written mainly in Greek.
Malachi 3:10 King James Version (KJV) 10 Bring ye all the tithes (ten percent) into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
The best way to give is from the heart and the best that one has and God will bless the person for doing that. We should give willingly and never feel forced.
All the best!

I am reading my Bible and I found that reading a chapter a day is something I can easily remember to do. I've tried those one year Bible reading plans, but I always feel bad if I miss a day.
