40 notifications from one single friend - irritating.

hello there!
I woke up this morning with a bad mood, because of a massive quarrel with my mom last night. when i switched on the laptop, there was no internet. that made me furious because it always happen. when finally the internet went on i first checked my email. i found 40 new discussions notification of a single person from mylot.
Honestly, I was so irritated, i was having a bad day and I have to erase all of those emails, I just.. can't realize how one person make 40 discussions in a day.. no offense but.. I don't know..this person is nice, and i know it's not against the rules to make plenty new discussions in a day.. because i dont want to receive this kind of open email erasing email notifications from a single person, i decided to delete the person, not because he's bad or anything, I just got tired of erasing emails. maybe i'm just having a bad day. to that person - sorry.
how would you feel if it were you?

yes definitely, not a single one is ticked.it means everything is disabled, i think on the friends list the notify off and on is where it depends so.. it is the sender's prerogative to send notifications or not, what do you think friend? i am not sure. but what i am sure of is everything is ticked off. no active notifications

I am not sure if it's an outright violation but it can be grounds for this person to be banned or for his or her topics to be deleted.
I have learned to transfer all my mylot notifications to my SPAM. Turning off the notifiers one by one proves to be tedious considering the speed of my internet.
However, don't be surprised if you get rapid-fire discussions, as we call them, at this time of the month. Some people will do all to reach payout. Not knowing that they aren't getting a single cent without responding to any of the topics they start

Oh my now i'm turning them all off, very tedious indeed.
oh, yes.. I agree with the rapid fire discussions.. I mean I looked at the time that he created the discussions and it seemed like every 10 minutes or less he had a new one. I myself have difficulty in thinking of one sensible discussion, and he got 40 or more in less than a day. Anyway he might have been very inspired that's why... wor just want to reach payout..

Doesn't sound like "inspired" to me. More like "desperate".

I get irritated by things like this, too, especially if I'm in a bad mood already. I do get a lot of notifications, and some days it does get frustrating.

I sometimes have things like this where the same person is sending me messages and making new discussions, however you have to remember that a lot of people do it because they think that you will be grateful for it because it gives you the chance to engage in discussion with them and therefore make a little bit more money for yourself at the same time. I can understand how you would find it a little annoying though, particularly if you are not in the mood to be on MyLot at the time, as the notifications can come through to your email and make a lot of annoying noises if you're using a SmartPhone.

Its ok, Just relax getting so irritated might not work, you would have just off the notification for that particular person who made you so irritated, but its ok it was not your fault may be you was not in the situation to understand anything. deleting that person from your list i think its not a good idea, well its your choice thanks

Oh, my friend, first, i am sorry for your bad mood. You know, we all have exprienced such things: something makes me unhappy, then lots of other things bother us more.
You story remind me a story: a boss is in bad mood, then he relieve his angry on his secretary, the lady puts the grievances on her son after she is back home. And the little boy has done nothing wrong, but is treated badly by his mother. How he relieve his angry? Well, it is on his cat. You see, the cat does nothing wrong that day, but is kicked by its little host.
Sometimes i am also feel being bothered by so many useless emails. Well, i think if you don't want to recieve these emails, you can update your option on mylot. To tell the truth, i feel your friend has raised too many discussions too. You know, it is not an easy thing to come up with good ideas to write out so many topics in one day.

thank you so much for sympathizing with me. i think i really need it.
yes i remember that story when we displace the anger and it keeps on affecting other people. but when i am mad i am just silent, i think it is useless to argue when two people are both mad. nobody listens.
ok, i'll try to update my options here but how? is it on the preferences tab?
well actually i also like receiving notifications 1 or 2 would be ok, but 40 or more from a single person, it's like flooding. and yes! it is very difficult to write very good discussions here so i wonder where he gets that.
