I've been craving for food! Yesterday, I made a homemade pizza...

I wanted my pizza to be thin-crust and it really was thin, however, I may have placed it in the oven for too long because the crust was really hard and crunchy...LOL, my dad said it was like a cracker hard. I was satisfied of the thought that I pushed through with my plan of cooking pizza from scratch instead of just thinking and craving only.
Can I get a tip on how to make an almost perfect thin crust pizza dough?
I followed the steps I got from the internet and I'm not sure if I missed out something. The pizza was still edible, however, I want to know if others have other techniques...Please share and thank you!

a pleasant day fortunebee,
that is called creativity. wherein you have made a special one for you. though the crust of the pizza became hard and crunchy. but at least you have tried your best. for sure, on your next pizza, everything will be perfect. hence, it is normal to have the first one as a trial thing. thus, if you do it on a daily or weekly manner, you will become used to on the procedure.
with regard to your query as to the techniques - well, we are making pizza here in our end however, we are not doing the dough, instead we are just buying the ready to use one. and that is the thing we use when doing our pizza in our store.
if you are kind a interested, just send me a pm so i can help you with that.
cheers.

Thank you for your offer! I will ask from you one day. Yes, I'm the type also who believes in practice makes perfect. Although it may not be entirely perfect, I believe that I can always make my own pizza the way I like it. (^_^) So you work in a pizza house?

I like that! I know, it's all about training and making yourself get used to doing anything that you can be better. Not only pizza but anything you want to achieve in your life. Doesn't get better every time you put your heart and soul into it? And when it comes to pizza it should taste delicious!

Welcome. I am not working on a pizza house but we are trained to do it for our own consumption. Hence thru the training plus the practice, so we able to do it right for our taste.

Oh wow, homemade pizza! That sounds fun to do! I love pizza with lots of cheese on it (Makes me hungry as I type this). Do you make pizza with oven? I don't have an oven, can I still make pizza using other equipment? I've never really tried making one..

I've checked on the internet where you can also make grilled pizza. You can use a bbq grill the procedure of making the dough and the toppings is the same, and preheating the grill, then when you're ready, you can slide in your pizza! Never tried it but I might one of these days...(^_^)

I actually dont make pizzas from scratch but i do buy pizza dough from the cookie dough isle at the store and just use that because then i know it will come out perfect then. Then you dont have to worry about it not being right. If you want it to be thinner then all you would have to do is roll otu the dough more and make it a bigger pizza and thats pretty much it and i think its the way to go and its easy and not as much time and not as much of a mess at the end too to clean up.
I know i take the easy way out but i think its the fastes and easiest way to do things sometimes.

I do prefer to make pizza with pre-made dough, however, it is not available here in my province. I have to make it from scratch and sometimes the challenge is fun. But, I definitely agree with you about the mess. Perhaps this is the reason why I'd prefer pre-made dough if we have it available. (^_^)

You made me smile when I saw the word pizza. It's the only food my husband orders every time we go out. And just like you I think I should start learning how to make one. Good day!

To be honest, I used to be afraid of our oven. I didn't know how to use it until a few weeks ago. So as soon as I built the courage to conquer my fear with using the oven I tried it yesterday. It may have not been perfect but it will break my habit of ordering pizza from elsewhere. I can get away with thinking that if something is slightly different than my expectations, I can say that I did it myself! (^_^)
