I'll never forget the day my Dad, Pops as i called him, died. it will be 3yrs in March. Man! He was such a great man and still a great man in my heart. See, Pops always had a story for everything. His stories weren't just great to listen to they were full of wisdom and direction. Everything from the time a bullet sped past his ear to his days running the streets of Denton, TX. Lol! The stories he told me gave me a reason make the right moves in my life. Dr Dre has a song chorus that goes: "i'm about to lose my mind you've been gone for so long i'm running out of time..." I always think of Pops when that song comes on because at time i do feel as though i'm going to lose my mind w/o having him here to preach to me, to sit all seven of us kids and our mom down for 8+ hours of Bible Study or just hang out in my room like he did when I was in High School. Dealing w/the lost of a love one is never ever easy. It is our job to keep on living the legacy that he/she left behind because if we don't keep the legacy alive then their living will be in vain. So no matter how teary eyed i know i can always revert back to the last words Pops told me 2 day before he passed..."Son, I'm proud of you" How do you deal w/lost?
