Psalms 22:1-3 1: "My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? 2: O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest me not; and in the night season, and am not silent. 3: But thou are holy, o thou that inhabitest the praises of Isreal."(The Holy Bible, KJV) Let's be real ok! When we are faced w/problems we seek too many affirmations, advice, and POV's from too many people. "Giiiirrrl, my man don't look @me the same...what should i do?" Man! i don't know what imma do about..what u think i should do?" We seek advice from people who either never been through it or people who aren't going to do anything but take it back to their gossip circles. In this scripture David is seeking the advice from the right source, but he's going about it the wrong way. Now, outside of us going to too many people to seek direction or whatever...WE TALK TOO MUCH! David spent his time in the beginning 3 verses of this scripture crying to the Lord about a problem that he thought to be unresolved. The best situations we face are the ones that we think can't be resolved but then come to the realization that if I cast all my cares on Him then the problem will work themselves out. That's what David did. He saw there was a problem...he did what we all do which is nag, complain, worry. But, something happened...something called FAITH grew in David and said you have someone who is bigger than your problem. You have someone in your corner who wants not to just resolve your problem but also put you in your place of growth and abundant life. The more time we spend talking the less time to we'll have to listen & realize that w/God all things are possible and that if He be for me He's more than my addiction, my habit, my worries, my enemies, my trouble can be against me. "But thou are Holy, o thou who inhabitest the praises of Isreal" God doesn't want your complaints He wants your praises. God lives inside your praise. You talk to much...now its time to Praise Him and get it all back! Think about whatever your facing & simply say "no matter what it is i'm facing God You're still Holy" no matter your addiction, your mess ups God is still Holy and wants to Love you and give me more than you can imagine..Give it to Him!

When a person is under affliction, this is when we could test his spiritual condition. A Christian (a real one I mean) would always go to God first and not to anyone else. He can always pour out the language of his heart amidst overflowing tears to HIM because he knows HE always listens. He does complain and ask God why He seemed to have forsaken. He speaks of discontentment just us just as David did. In reality, the words "Why hast thou forsaken me?" is that of Christ while HE was on the cross. Come to think of it, despite all afflictions in life, no one has really gone over the same pain that Christ underwent on the cross. Our burdens are too small as compared to what Jesus had. But as human we have this natural unwillingness to pass through pain and sorrow. When we are tired and exhausted we complain and question God. A Christian however has an advantage over those who are not. He has Jesus who promised He will never leave him nor forsake him.

What you say is true... BUT God understands our need to say things out loud. If we talk about them to Him, even if we're complaining or speaking in doubt, it's better than talking to other people about it. God is big enough to listen in patience and love and then wait for our faith. Once we get to that point, He will act. I can sometimes almost see Him smiling and waiting, like a patient parent waiting for an overexcited child to calm down and tell us what he saw or did. A relationship with God isn't woven with stress and worrying about whether we're doing it "right." It's depending on Him to keep us righteous in spite of ourselves. Awesome topic!
