Yesterday while chopping tomatoes in cute tiny cubes, I ended up putting the knife throw my thumb, which chopped off half of my nail. YES HIGHLY PAINFUL!!!
Now this is not the part where it keeps hurting, the part starts after that when finally the blood has stopped and I managed to clip off little bit of nail to give me some relief. No matter what I do, I end up hitting on the exact same spot where I am hurt.
When I am taking shower, or trying to get something from the cupboard or even touch my head. I keep Injuring myself at the SAME SPOT Over and Over Again!..
Seriously is there some kind of magnet?
Does that happen to you? You keep hurting yourself in the exact same place you already have been hurt!! Its really painful..

HI dear Sister
Yes I noticed it happen not only to me but to people I know who got injured or hurt and keep hitting that spot whenever I/we do something which makes us cry in pain! Sometimes it is not me who accidentally hurt that spot, but others too.. like accidentally stepping or hitting that spot. Now I think there really might be a magnet on it.

Hello Sister "hugs hugs",
True sister, my mother in law had the surgery on her feet. She would keep hitting herself there or someone would accidentally hit here there.
Its really weird, though we are so careful yet we end up hitting ourselves.
Just now typing i hit my thumb with my other thumb!
very painful :(
Cheers Sis,
love u!

Hi sweety :)
I am sorry to hear that. Have seen the doctor to bandage your wound ? Don't forget to takesome antibiotic so the wound won't be infection.
Well, the wound has no magnet or something like that. It is because the wound is in the part that you always use to do activity so it seems like you keep hurting it. Besides, though you don't use exactly your thumb but the area around it is still bruised that will feel hurt whenever you touch or use it.
Don't play with the knife till your wound get better. Take care

I am very sorry to hear that. Sometimes the accidents can be happened anytime when we are doing the housework. As to me, I often like to wear gloves to do the housework, including cutting the food. This is why usually I just cut the glove but my fingers will not be hurtful. Perhaps you can try it. I know some people complain that it is inconvenient to wear the gloves to do the housework. But you can get used to it soon.
I love China

So sorry to hear all these but dont think that you are only one who get hurt on the same place again and again. I think it happens with all of us and the reason that i have observed is over consciousness... may be. Dont know eaxctly.
Hope a quick relief. Take care.

Yes it happens to me a lot. It's like fate is teasing you. Well I think the location of your problem is very strategic for more hurt and injuries since our hands and fingers are one of the most active parts of the body. Sometimes it lands on surfaces without us even noticing it.

hi bamboee oh yes I ha ve had that happen to me too. I was chewing something and bit the inside of my lip.okay hurt dreadfully
and even bled. but it stopped soon.but the thing is it must
have swelled as every time I ate I would again chomp down on this until I was almost afraid to eat.finally the swelling went down and it healed but for awhile I must have rebitten that place at least four times. I thought it was never going to heal Hope yours heals faster now so you do not hurt yourself over and over again. cheers.

So my nail broke off a couple weeks ago and is still growing back and when it did happen i noticed how much i needed that nail and how bad it hurt me after the fact that it was gone because i kept trying to do things and kept forgetting that the nail was gone. I would try and scratch and it wasnt working because my nail was gone and i keep trying to do it and it bugs me.
Its really bad when you do something like that because you dont really relize how much you need it until its gone. Now trying to itch my head hurt because the hair in my head was getting stuck in the nail that was kind of there and it hurt. I know your pain and its kind of a weird feeling as well to me.

I have hurt or injured some of my fingers at times. And to use your own words like a magnet that same finger was struck accidentally or while i was absent minded and the healing process takes longer beside the hurt it causes.I normally put a plaster and it helps as the impact when we strike the injured finger is less. When we are busy with work be it household chores or otherwise we tend to forget about the injured finger accidentally striking it again and causing pain.

Tell me about it. When you wrap around those band aide, or bandage, it might cease to hurt a little. When you get your finger dipped into water, it must hurt a lot, but I still have to take a shower though. I just have to do it in a clumsy way. Anyway, pay attention while you are chopping or cutting. Hope the pain will go away soon!

Why does it keep repeating? Isn't there some sort of alertness that you bring on each time you touch things with your thumb? Like for example, "wait a minute I need to slow down or I will hurt my thumb again".

My dear, sorry for the kitchen incident, you could have been more careful with cutleries. Try to be careful next time you handle kitchen equipment. It is important that we work with safety being in our mind.

It keeps on aching because we allow ourselves to get hurt. It happened me too, I keep on digging my toenail every time I do have my do-it-yourself pedicure. I know it hurts but I just keep on doing it. I think the main reason why we keep on doing this it's because we want to feel the pain of getting hurt.

Oh no, sorry to hear about that bamboee. That really hurts, I've also experienced that and it hurts like hell! Good thing the bleeding stopped. I think you should keep in mind that you have an injured finger and you have to avoid things that will touch it. Maybe you're not yet used to it, so you keep on hitting the same spot. Put some bandage or cloth, to protect it.
