I am a Registered Nurse by profession, but I think that I don't deserve to be one. I passed the licensure Exam last year and I haven't practiced after I got my license. I tool up Nursing for monetary reason, I thought it would gonna make me happy but at this point I want to give up and start a new career. Looking back at the effort I did and the money that was spent to me by my relatives I feel so sad that If ever I will start all over again. The main reason that I don't deserve to e a nurse is that I feel that a patient might gonna die within my hands. Do you think that I deserve to be a Nurse or Not?

If you doubt your own capabilities, then who am I to say that you deserve being a nurse? Believe in yourself first before others do :) Try to always look at the positive side of things instead of dwelling in the negatives. What good will it bring you if you flood your mind and emotion with negative things? Nothing. If you look at the positives and you perform the things that you should be doing according to what you learned, you'll get a career, life and fulfillment. Still, if you think being a nurse is not your calling, then don't force the issue. You'll just be giving yourself a daily dosage of mind and emotional torture in doing things where your heart is not present. Hear the call from within. Find a career/life/passion and not a job :)

Hi craziest, Look at the bright side. Being a nurse is a blessing. You will have the chance to help and care for those in need. It doesn't matter what I think. If you believe that you were meant to be a nurse, go for it!

craziestqueenever now you are registered why not think of differeng types iof nuring jobs where you might feel more at ease. you show caring and compassion which one needs to be a good nurse. as for a patient of yours dying look doctors and nurses are not gods and sometimes no matter how good you are, a person is too ill and does die.I have worked as a nurses aide for years and have seen [a few deaths that I knew cou ld not be helped,I felt sad but knew I had not done anything wrong at all.take a look at all the various places a nurse can work and think hard about all those choices before turning your back on nursing.there are now a lot of other avenues for nurses besides just uin hospitals so check it outl I wish to God I had gone on and become a registered nurse. you have such a choice now hopefully you will find something that will beckon to you
