"stop eating."

I had quite an unexpected morning and I had to run some tasks for my friend’s moneymaking scheme (which is another thing I want to rant on). Anyways, I arrived at my home before lunch and decided that I will get food from my aunt, the neighbor. I was asking for what food was on the table was ready to get some when my insensitive and saintly aunt told me to stop eating because I wasn’t the same figure as her age. I was really annoyed to the point that I lost my appetite and found something to eat on my own. How stupid and tackless can people, especially relatives, can get? She could have voiced her opinion anytime except when someone is doing the exact thing. Besides, I fail to see the logic in that. Stop eating? She seriously wants me to die? I get to lose some pounds because I did have rush to many places in the morning without breakfast and tells when I’m hungry to stop eating? How ridiculous can you get? I am still annoyed and I am scheduled to accompany her but based on what happened earlier she can go anywhere for all I care. We weren’t even the same body build and my lifestyle is completely different from her. What do you think she will feel if I tell her to stop eating?

It was a bit tactless but I'm sure she meant well. That's sometimes the pros and cons of relatives. They are concerned about us but sometimes they could be so straightforward about it. Try not to get hung up about what happened. She just wants you not to lose your great figure :)

I known that they meant well but it doesn't take much to say a few appropriate words. I can appreciate straightforwardness but at least in a very good context and clear meaning. I don't know what to do with people who say the same thing but meant the other. So confusing!

hi jeanneyvonne what an Aunt. Try it sometime I dare you as that
might just shut her up for awhile.Relatives who do things like
that are really annoying.Like friends who ask us diabetic"
Are you going to eat that?'
They always seem to thinkthey know better what a diabetic should
eat than the person with the diabetes. ugh.
So one day soon do say to your Aunt"stop eating that?" I
would love to see the expression on her face,

I would love to see her face when i try to do that. I mean, it's like giving them the same treatment as they do to me. I don't know where this is coming from, especially in terms of food and other health-related issues. I mean, that's personal business no matter where you see it, and personal preferences should not be objected or even questioned by a completely different person.

Eek, she did? That was rude. At least you didn't talk back, or did you? It appears you might have been "mad with hunger" then that you could have said something rude back -- hopefully not. At least, you got it out of your chest here and I hope that helped a little. Cheer up. Tolerance.
