Nearly got into an Accident

This just happen last night. I was off the road to go a burger station to buy some. I was riding my bike going there. I saw the street has less vehicles, so i was just relaxed. I get my phone and text. I know im taking a hard time texting for i have to look in the road and also to what i text. I moved crisscross in my lane but only on the side, so its still safe for me. Suddenly, a taxi overtake from a car on the other. I was surprise for the moment I look at the road the taxi was already in front of me, I was shaked and nervous. But because of that nervousness i turn the wheel and dropped myself into the bushes. Luckily .
After that, I was in a really catching up my breath for i was nearly got into an accident. I wonder what might happen if i was bumped by it.
Meanwhile, I continue my ride to buy food for my stomach owned me, but this time im now careful. I was not texting anymore and later i got home safe.
I know i am wrong for my recklessness, but i think the taxi is more responsible for my nearly happened accident. Well, go thing im safe and sound. Lessons learn.

It's good to hear that nothing untoward happened to you. It's even great to hear that you've realized that you shouldn't have been texting while you were riding your bike :) I do hope a lot of people realize also that drivers, especially in my country, are almost always the one initially blamed if an accident involving a pedestrian or a biker is involved even if the accident was caused by recklessness on the part of the pedestrian or biker. I've had near mishaps before even when I'm driving within the speed limit due to people darting across no-crossing streets or riding their bikes on roads where they're not supposed to.

Yes dongjr, I have been in quite a few almost accidents...the operative
being almost ....its rough out on the road for automobiles and twice
as dangeous for bicyclist...and so many drivers nearly cause accidents
and just keep right on going like nothing never happened...
I glad you were not hurt either by the car or the fall into the bushes.
The bushes could have been just as dangeous..But you survive that
ordeal...Be careful when on the road...and definately keep your eyes
on the traffic...

That was dangerous, texting while on a vehicle. I saw few motorcyclists did that and their bikes were swaying.
I was in an accident once, with a motorcycle. Apparently the man didn't saw my signal and bumped into me while I drove into a corner. His tyre grazed my back wheel so he felt onto the road. He won the case and received huge compensation money from my insurance.

I hope all drivers when they drive don't do other things but concentrate on the road. When accident happens, it is not only the one that was not careful that suffers. The innocent people will also be hurt. Don't take the chance to regret later.
