I never realized that blogging wasn't something that one could do and get paid for it, until I found myLot. I've been looking for a writing job (most preferabally a freelance writing one) and did a of reserach on it. I still have yet to make up my mind as to which one is better, in terms of pay - Helium or Yahoo! Once, I decide, I'll have to figure out what to write about since I haven't been writing professionally since Dec. 2010. Neither have I had a job since then. I've been volunteering for 2 Museums since 2009. I figure I'd get some writing ideas and some writing practice from blogging while getting paid a month at a time. For me, it's the best writing job in the world, right now, while I hone my skills for writing for more money for other sites later on!

I would like to write something, like blog to earn some extra money. Lately, my head just stuck with emptiness, and I couldn't think of any good topic to write on. Am I stuck? Or I simply lazy and not think enough for a good topic. Hopefully, someday I would sum up enough of those good idea and write some good article online to earn some extra money.

How about writing about the thought process that goes into writing? What makes you write about the things you write about? What goes on in your head that makes you come up with anything you write? That's how I get through writer's block.

Blogging is like having a regular column in a newspaper. You get to publish your opinions under your byline. Of course, those with bylines already enjoy a bit of celebrity status or have some kind of reputation in their chosen field of interest.
With the advent of blogs, suddenly the world has a surplus of freelance "columnists" floating in cyberspace. It is up to each columnist/blogger to find where he/she belongs.

Agree with you, especially with the last sentence. In my view "One may write what one wants but that doesn't mean it will be respected, whether it is liked or disliked for its content." In short, don't write something merely to get others' attention but to "express" true thoughts or feelings. Another may relate to it without realizing it until they read it.
