Do you get a flu shot every year?

I'll be honest, I don't. I got one once. I was in Air Force basic training and had no choice. I was miserable for the next two days. I haven't gotten one since. I know I should get one. I have asthma, and tend to get pnuemonia easily, and my husband is a type 1 diabetic, so we are considered high risk. And yes, I usually do get the flu (or something like it).
