Moving on After Typhoon Sendong/Washi Devastation

February 4, 2012 1:08am CST
I missed MyLot for more than a month of not being able to visit and participate in the many discussions posted by my friends. After the catastrophe that hit our place which displaced almost 25 thousand families, left more than a thousand dead and some are still missing is quite difficult yet I have to decide positively to move on and think that what were lost were only material things which can still be acquired again. Instead, I have to be grateful because I was spared from it, including my siblings and their respective family. What happened had taught me some lessons on life's priorities and that life is far more important than the material valuables that we have.

i am sorry to hear that, but i am glad that you and your family survive the typhoon Sendong. I know how much you mean the things your family invested and it lost suddenly. I remember the time that me and my family experienced that too, by the typhoon Ondoy last September 2009, here in Provident village, it was very traumatic seeing that very huge flood, stranded, and seeing people who did not make it to survive. Everything was a nightmare that time, that i thought it was a bad dream but it was real. God teach us to value enviroment the place we live in order to live a beautiful meaningful life.

I am very sorry that your locality suffered a typhoon and put you out of Internet use for around one month. It was awful that it displaced some 25 thousand families and it is shocking that some people were killed. I know that you are grateful that you still have your family members alive. Yes, you have learned to be happy when your life is easier than this. Actual life is more important than material valuables. Good luck to you and your locality plus people in the future. I hope that the rest of this year is happier for you.

I know it's impossible but with some awareness... I know we can make our mother nature calm!
