How do you react to mass stupidity?

Each of us had a moment when he/she looked back and said "Man, was I stupid doing that!". It's in the human nature to make mistakes and do something stupid now and then. It's also reasonable for some people to be brighter than others, for some to be genial and for some to be as dumb as a rock.
But what happens when you feel surrounded by a sea of stupidity? When you see masses of people being driven into stupidity not for a brief time, but for years and years...
How do you react when you see lots of people being utterly stupid?
Does it make you feel good about yourself, by realizing that even if you're just an averagely bright person you are much wiser that so many others? Or does it make you feel sad and worry for the sake of the human species, risking to destroy itself by the shear stupidity of its members?

When ever I come across something that you call as mass stupidity, I just push myself out of the place. I don't want to risk myself being blamed by those stupid people, as you know they are stupids and of course, I wouldn't want to be pointed out by any stupid person or even a group. They will make you look stupider than themselves. It is always wise to stay out of such places, which you find stupid.
I run away, only because, I don't want to be changed by them. These people will usually be well manipulative, that they will prove you that they can bend the rock too!

hi stvasile, its funny you asked that question..There are some
people who are dumb as a rock and them there are some as bright
as the morning as you stated...What do one do...I normally try
quick and in a hurry to distant myself from the situtation or
person...
It could actually be a very bad situtation to be in...those people
can be very dangereous, both the dummies and the know it alls...
You have to realize that some people don't do better because they
don't know any better then you have some who knows better and just
have no intentions to do better...
Some act stupid by choice and and some have never learned any other
way or direction...I don't like to call people stupid, but it is
what it is....But I don't feel sorry for them at all...I just keep
it moving....LOL....I believe there are many more knowledgeable
people in this world than those who's elevator don't go to the top
floor...

Hiya stvasile,
Not long back I saw on the Television two Men go into a certain place and bully two girls because the girls did not want to move from their workplace.
The men were trying to force them out of their workplace so that they could get in and take what they wanted from the Store as they said they were entitled to it.
All the girls did were to defend their Job and the people that were there around them for me that was a big stupidity.
Two grown men who should have know better behaving like two spoiled little boys.
They frightened the girls badly and made them cry as well.
For me this was the ultimate stupid thing to do.
With what they did they really did nothing because in the end they caused a lot of problems not for themselves but for the people who they said that they were helping out.
I would never have joined in into something like that they were way out of place in behaviour in everything.

folly a man can be changed as long as the want to change, and for me it is not unusual.
I suppose there are in the sea of ??ignorance I would definitely build a school for the nominally so they can learn and become proficient in doing anything.

we are 7 bilion people on this planet...of course a lot of them are stupid. There are so many stupid people that the majority of the society is formed by them and you start feeling unsociable because of them. We encourage stupidity! I'm from Romania and sometimes i hate my country so bad that i just want to sell everything and move in the desert...Sure we have schools, sure we have good teachers...but some of them like being stupid and like other stupid people and encourage their work , for example music...i see llame songs have the most views and comments on youtube...i see 1 milion views on a video of a kid falling in his head...and 1000 views on a motivational video with quotes from eintein and other great people that existed on this (ex)wonderful planet. Well i guess i got off track ... good luck!

If I ever find out that I am in a sea of stupidity, I will hide my true identity. I will not let them know that there is a genius living with them. I will be careful to act like them so that I can carry on my life normally. I won't want to be sent to research lab to test my IQ or worse, to be sent to an asylum if my knowledge is 200 years more advance. I won't feel sad for humanity - when 99.99% of them are stupid, it is called normal. I am just being exceptional - an one in a million years product! But I guess I won't need to do anything as my intellect or talent would have been wiped out systematically in my formative years in a collective farm that they call school. That will guarantee my safety in a fool's heaven.

No, it does not make me feel good. By realizing that I could really feel utterly disgusted and mad. In our poor country, our kind of politics and entertainment reflect just how stupid we people are. That's why we as a country don't really progress that much. I believe when stupid people rules the majority then there could be really no hope about that. You can be really mad about this whole mass stupidity because you do nothing about it, and at the same you bear the sufferings and pity yourself and your fellowmen.

I do understand that no one is perfect and every one of us commits some stupidity. It's okay for me that you're stupid once in your life, but if you will be stupid for the rest of your life then, I will tell it directly in front of your face. Too much stupidity is not good.

Personally I feel offended. Stupidity isn't something that just happens, you aren't born stupid, at least not in the numbers of which I am seeing on a daily basis. Stupidity is born out of a lack of regard for the consequences. So many people just don't care what happens because of their actions. The total blatant disregard for anyone and everyone else is sickening. I've been all over the world and I have seen this behavior everywhere, but nowhere more than in the United States. I love my country, but this is getting ridiculous. When did it become acceptable for Americans to be the fattest, dumbest, people on the planet?
I've heard to argument that everyone is out for their own happiness, but this is also stupid. If your actions are causing those around you to be miserable, you will also be miserable. Put in just a little effort to pay attention and make life easier for everyone. They will be happier which will make you happier.
