Speech on Prophet Muhammad (saaws) and message of Islam

There have been many biographies writen and speech of Prophet Muhammad(SAAWS)that have provide glimpe of his life, the role that he played as a messenger of god ,and the message that he bought of makind. However the speech delivred by Ja'afar bin abi talib to the christian king Abyssinia (Ethyipe)in the 7th century to date is refferenced as one of the most siccint and eloquent speech that captured the moment of this era and expressed the message Islam concisly and clearly. The speech was delivred in fifth year of Muhammad Prophethood. As we recault from the early days of Islam when muslims wher tortured, persecuted ,and humiliated in many way a few Muslims emigred to take refuge in Abyssinia(Ethyopia)that was ruled by ashamah Negus(also kown by Al-Najashi) a christian king. The priphet had known him a fair ruler thus had permutted the folowers of Islam to take refuge in kingdom. Makkah's Quraish how was at the time were amongst the foremost in persecuting the new Muslims could not tolerate the Muslims living peacefuly in the Christian kingdom. Hence, they made a laste ditch effort to get these Muslims extradited to Makka and sent two of ther strongest envoys to demande their extradition.Those envoys were Amr Ibn Alas and Abdellah Bin Abi Rabia( The two embrassed Islam a few year later). The 2 envoys took valuables gifts for the king and his clergy on the hopes of convincing the king to return the new Muslims. The pagan envoys demanded the Muslims extradition on grounds that they had abondonned the religion of their forfathers, and their leader(Muhammad)was preaching a religion different from thers and from that the king. On hearing the claims against Muslims that the envoys had presented the Christian king summoned the muslims to his court.The Muslims selected Jaafar Bin Abi Talib to speek on their behalf. With silence in the court Jaafar Bin Abi Talib stood up and adressed the king in the folowing words: " O king!we were plenged in the deepth ignorance and barbarism, we adored idols, we lived with unshastity . we ate the deed bodies and we spoke abonimations, we disregarded every feeling of humanity and the duties of hospitality and neighborhood were neglected we knew no law but that of the stong when Allah raised among us a man of whose birth, truthfulness honesty and purity we were,and he caled the oness of Allah and thaught us not to associate anything with him he forbade us the worship of idols and he enjoined to speek the truth to be faithful to our trust,to be merceful and to be regard the rights of the neighbors and kith and kin he forbade u to speek evil of women or eath the substace of orphans he ordered us to fly from the vices and to obstain from evil,to offer prayer, to render alms and observe fast, we have belived in him, we have accepting his teachings and his injuctions to worship Allah and not associate anything with him and we have allowed what he Hase allowed and prohibited what He has prohibited.For this reason our peopole have risen against us, have persecuted us in order to make us forsake the worship of Allah and return to the worship of idols and other abonimations. they have tortured and injured us, until finding no safety among them ,we have come to your country, and hope you will protects us from oppression.
