In November of last year while picking honey oranges,my wife's younger sister came to help us,and her little daughter was here, too. But in the orange field the big rooster of my mum wanted to peck at the little girl! She ran away frightenedly, but the rooster ran after her!In time her mother helped her out.The next day that girl didn't dare to come, but the big rooster still wanted to peck at my wife's younger sister twice!!Haha, have you seen such things?

Roosters, huh? Some can really be a torment. We used to have Bante roosters and they are smaller but nasty. And we had Rode Island Reds which are big red ones. This was when I was a small child. They were in a pen but you had to go by them to get to the roosting hens and get the eggs.

My mom's hen would tried to 'attack' us when it had chicks with it. I usually kick it away but my younger sister usually not so lucky.
My cat, Carot will put its claws out and grab me as its way of gaining my attention. It's hurt of course but I don't think I can do anything to stop its weird behaviour. My other car, Shiro will jump on me if it want to go out from my room if I were sleeping at that time and the door was close. If you ever seen Garfield first movie, then you probably have a clue on how it looks like. Not to mention, it's around 5kg in weight.

Yes,a hen always does that while she has chickens around.
I haven't seen that film, but I can imagine your big lovely cat,Shiro, she's much cuter and much more clever than the other one.

Ha ha ha Oldsix. When I was a kid, I was on my uncle's farm in Pennsylvania. I went into the chicken coop to pet the "little chickies". The mother chicken came running and pecked me on the butt as I tried to get out of there. I have a little wild kitten I'm trying to make into a pet. Now it sometimes stays in the house with me. One day I tried to pet it. It meowed angrily at me . I went into the bathroom. when I came out of the bathroom, the kitten hissed and spat at me. Now we get along, but I don't pet it yet until it really gets used to me.

Haha,I hope your butt didn't bleed then!Wow,do you think you can make a little wild kitten into a pet?On TV I saw a Chinese villager are keeping two baby snow leopards that he picked up from outside! But I don't know whether he can get along well with them.

It's an animal's instinct trying to protect themselves against strangers or someone who wants to harm them. Most animals are more sensitive to danger compared to humans and when the rooster saw the younger sister again, it's thinking she wants to catch it. I believe the rooster won't behave the way it is for a long time. By the 3rd or 4th time it sees her, the rooster won't bother about her anymore.

I hope you are right. But every time even now when I go to my orange field,I often see that rooster always crows around me before all those hens!It seems that he's showing off how strong he is !

The big rooster of your Mum definitely bullied stranger. The rooster which often swaggers with a proud manner sometimes really makes people fear.It seems that it likes to peck people who wear bright-coloured clothes.I am not sure if it has to do with birds' natural instinct, just as the peacock spreads its tail.

I agree on you,and I really don't know if it's a rooster's natural instinct.

My cat sometimes takes a swipe at me, she only likes so much petting, and then she tells me enough... she is a very independent cat and I admire that...

i think my pet love to get notice by me as most of the time they are very playful not n the way they like to fight with me. they usually fight with their own kind, sometimes to become playful or act very territorial. even as cat or dog they act the same. my pets are very playful and they like to get closer to me and asking for food or just to strokes there fur and belly. it makes them feel happy.

Yes,most of the pets are playful and when they want to ask for food or care from you, they get close to you.Pets' fighting with people is rare.

Haha of course this happens,You see,i had 4 dogs,15 cats ,4 rabbits and some birds....They all had this kind of an instinct....Ofcourse,they are only playing with you,Once you begin petting or irritating the cat, when it has had enough,it will somehow tell you that it doesnt want to be bothered anymore,When my dogs want to play they squabble up on my feat and lick/bite me painlessly.....Ofcourse when it is the first time they do this to you,You might be scared, but they are only doing it for fun............

My cats often will bat me when they want my attention.
When Jingles hadn't been neutered yet,he would deliberately attack and claw my feet! It drove me crazy!
Now, its the kittens who do it lol

Well, no actually, not a rooster xD Dog, yes. And the reason is obvious, food. Whenever I buy his steak from the pet store, he would look at me intently, waiting for me to lower my guard. Though, I'm well aware. Nevertheless, he would just rush over and try to knock me down to take the steak== there are times when he manage to grab hold of his steak though. Whenever I try to retrieve them, he would growl at me. Then walk far away and then gulp down that stupid steak. Later he would trott along side me like nothing ever happened== stupid mongrel I'd say. Well, truthfully, without him, life would be pretty boring xD so yea. That would be the times I got into a steak fight with my mongrel.xD

What your dog did was just to want to get his nice steak, and he never wanted to hurt you and he is always as friendly as usual. But the rooster that I mentioned wanted to peck at a person to show how it was strong,I think. But they are all funny things.
