We all know cell phones are not just used for talking anymore. They come with so many other features. Have you ever used them for any silly reason?
One of our cars don't have any stereo because it is from the 90s and from Honda. Today my little sister got bored of sitting in it while I was driving. So she used her cell phone as a stereo by playing music on it without the headphones. That totally cut out of the boredom. How about you? Have you ever done anything weird like that with your one?

Nowadays, more and more people are using cell phones. They have become part of our life. With their rapid development, they have some other features besides talking. We can listen to music, send emails, and surf on the internet through them. To a degree, I can not imagine the life without cell phones any more. Because they really make our life much convenient. You see, I even use them as alarm clock.

That is very true. It is hard to imagine a life without cell phone and of course, Internet. I did not notice that when I am out without my cell phone I start to feel insecure. It has a lot to do with the fact that in my head I start to think that if something dangerous happens to me I won't be able to call anyone for help. But now cell phones can be used for any other important things.

Yes, you are totally right. What used to be unique to us is now completely ordinary. I feel we are luckier than the last generation who did not have cell phone. Of course, once we were in that position. But now it is hard to think of going anywhere without that gadget.

Yeah, me too. I often left behind my cell phone in the nightstand when going out at the beginning because I used it as my alarm clock. However, when I discovered that I forgot to bring it, a sence of restlessness would come to my mind. And I couldn't concentrate on any othre things.
Think about my old days with it, I couldn't stop laughing for quite a long time. My roommate and I used to enjoying send text messages to each other via cell phone while lying down at the upper and lower bed separately before going to sleep very much. How crazy we were at that time!

I use it as ruler, as leveler, and the most stupid is a vibration meter.
Why it is stupid? the vibration can broke the cell phone. After I realize, I never do it again. Actually good app in my phone, but can broke my cell phone.

Thank you for explaining it to me. I understand it now. Of course, smartphone is another cellphone. But only because it has many other different features it has been known as smart.

Honestly I use android smartphone (i still consider it as cell phone). I install program which is called vibration meter and we can turn our gadget as vibration meter. It is not accurate but can be used for a trend/indicator if there is a change.

Yep, cell phone does a great job of being a paper weight. I love the idea and did use it while working on my homework outside. Did you hear that by 2015 iPod will be replaced by iPhones? That is what an article by Yahoo mentioned. But I will say that it won't be just iPhones, but all cell phones which have the capability of playing music will replace that tiny gadget. I suppose it has already started. Look at us, we all use them as music players.

I have used my smartphone for many things in my life, and I don't really know what you would call silly. I always put music on my phone when I am in the bath, as the stereo is very good on it which means that I am able to do so with complete ease. I love listening to music on it, and also like playing silly games. I have wasted far too many hours on my phone playing games when I should probably be doing something such as working or listening when I am in lessons in university, but my phone is just too addictive to not use it this much.

Silly means using the cell phone for things its not made for. Anything weird would be the best way to describe it. Other people at least think of it like that. But I totally know how the games on the phones can be so fun to play no matter how they look to others. Have you tried breaking your own records? I have a habit of doing this especially when I am bored.

I have a habit of doing that also. Isn't it like cell phone battery usually becomes low from taking pictures? I see it happen less when it is on video mode. Just like you, I use my phone for calling and texting. I haven't upgraded to smartphone just yet. There is no need for it, right? I mean these days one little cell phone already has so many different features.

Mmm...first, I don't have such a fancy cell phone so I never use any features. :D I can only use my cell phone for text and make a call. I've ever had a wish to buy a new one with better feature, but then I used the money to buy a new laptop. I often put something which more important first. Besides, laptop can also be used for many things, and that includes watching movies. Lol. If I sit in a car and got bored, I prefer to get some sleep or talk to someone. :)

Count me in. I returned the fancy cell phones just because I was too much in love with my Samsung's battery power. These days most phones seem a little sensitive. We have too many plastic kinds here.
You did the right thing by going for the laptop instead of the cellphone. Using internet on the phone can be quite inconvenient. I prefer laptop.

Yessssss...I also love my Nokia (I don't know what series it is but the light is still yellow. I don't even know what it's called - sigh - Lol). At least I still can use it for making calls and texting. And yes, I agree with you about new phones are more sensitive. And this touch screen thing, what if it's no longer sensitive? Then we can't use it. :P And if it falls, omg, it breaks easily. My phone falls many times and it's alright. :D And yes again, browsing the internet from laptop is a lot more fun than from cell phone.

I use it to set alarms for everything I need to do everyday. Believe it or not but I can forget to pick up my daughter coming home from school so I set my alarm to remind me to pick her up from where the bus drops her.
When its school holidays, the alarms annoy my daughter and I told her,'what you dun want me to pick you up from school?'

Oh you have radio on your cell phone? We don't. We can only listen to our downloaded music on it. But either way, it lessens the boredom. That is what I like about it.
