Have you ever had to cancel due to the weather?

I was going to see Boyz II Men in London tonight but due to the amount of Snow that has set in and around London recently I decided against it. There was a lot of it around the Coach station and there were changes for transport around the City. Have you ever had to cancel something due to the weather? or maybe another reason?.

we are in Canada and at least once during the winter each year, something is cancelled; whether it be school, work or church but so far this winter, we have not had that much snow.

I mean something that you wouldn't do everyday. Something you were looking forward to.

I stayed at home this weekend due to cold weather, ice and snow. The snow hasn't settled here it being a mild coastal location. I remember when I lived in Kent and the snow got me stuck in a number of times. It got very deep snow indeed and one year it even happened in March. My flight to Cancun in 2005 got canceled due to a hurricane. The airport got closed there at that time. I decided to visit the Maldives instead and it was very pricey. I still went ahead with visiting Mexico, Belize and Guatemala in 2006. Therefore I didn't miss out on flying to Cancun the next year.

When we go to a beach last summer to have fun,our boat ride was cancel on the day we are schedule to go home due to bad weather. We found out that there is a typhoon that will hit the place so all the boat trips were cancelled by the coastguard for everyone's safety. It was a company outing so almost everyone at work will be absent for next day, at least we are all safe.
