Wow, you are one lucky lady! Now you can really go flying about and enjoy yourself. I really need a new computer too, this one is about 10 years old and on it's last leg for the last five years, haha. I'm not sure if I want a regular desktop computer or laptop yet. All I know for sure is that I really need one. This one just doesn't keep up with the times and since I sell on Ebay, I need something more reliable and faster. Hopefully, I'll be able to get one sometime this year. I need so many things I don't know what to prioritize. Hope Maggiepie comes home soon and is feeling better, and you can get back to work.

Woo Hoo! I got a new computer for myself for Christmas and now I need a new printer. It's so nice to be able to load things in less time....my old one was slow too...have fun!

Congrats! I'll probably have to buy a new PC soon, too, this one is 10 years old and still toddling along. Sorry Maggiepie is still in the hospital but that's the best place for her right now. How about registering with a temp agency?

So pleased you have a new computer! Funnily enough, I had to replace mine in January last year as my 9 year old Sony packed up altogether. I've not regretted it as this one has more memory too. As for buying anything new..only a new cordless jug kettle. Exciting eh? Enjoy your new machine!

hi! congrats for the new terra byte memory pc, it's cool! last year i had this new cell phone for myself and new pc but not like your terra byte memory pc. but i am happy that i see some fruits of things that i work it hard. then i had this new acoustic guitar because i love playing guitar too.

I almost ordered a new laptop today, but there was a major screwup with the website, Abd I had to cancel my order. I am going to buy one kocally next week, if they ever put the cash back ibto my account. lol

that's 6 times memory must be a relief, a joy to have :) my pc is old too I'm still saving money for other things other than struggle to overcome some health issues, nothing much at my end

Congratulations. There is nothing like new technology for us to realize how 'old' our previous object was. I have also have to update my system, it has been doing the same thing yours was, jamming up not being able to load pages, shutting down in the middle of posts, I really need to fix it but can't right now. It will be fun learning all the new features and components. Hope you have fun.

I have been also trying to make some extra money. Every little bit helps! I found a new site that is pretty cool so I have been working at getting a better rating. You start off at $.05 per post and as you get better ratings you can earn up to $.12 per post!

What's new with me? Well, I got my printer fixed so that I can print messages for my husband, To come into the computer room and listen to me read his messages did not set well with Hubby Dear. He wants his messages to be hard copy so that he can take it out to his man cave and read and reread it at his leisure. Once that was settled, I got sick. Those little twinges in my throat took over and put me in the bed for a couple of bed - for a sore throat. kIt's getting better, though. I think I'll live.

You did the right thing my friend because at this time. We need to value our time even in a little thing which we can earn some...better to have a little than nothing right.

Congratulations! :-) I had the same experience recently with my six-year-old laptop. I just got a new HP for Christmas with about 8 gigs of RAM and 600 gigs of hard drive space, plus a 500 gig external hard drive to store my files. I write and create music so I have a lot of huge files due to my studio sessions; it's mandatory for me. lol Other than that I'm enjoying my time here as a newbie on MyLot, while looking for work. I was recently bit by the poetry bug and knocked out four poems this morning, with more to get out of my head today and from now on. Might make a book out of this experience! ^_^

hi elicbxn I am well again hurrah for that, no more bronchitis or pneumonia at all. thats all that is new and the darned cold mornings. Our room is so cold I just gave up and after breakfast went back to bed under a heavy comforter and a blanket. sunny southern California my foot. brr and double br.

Yay!!!! Good for you! Nothing like a warm computer to keep things warm and toasty in the winter Wait a minute..it's not been that cold for you has it...anyway...still keeps things nice and toasty. Nothing really new with me lately.

Congratualions on the new computer! My keeps freezing up and it takes forever to download FB games! When this one goes my older brother,the computer programer, will give me better one! I would love to get a labtop someday and I might ask my brother if he could get me one. The computers at work are almost as bad mine is! I would love to work on a computer,while at work,that doesn't waste my time waiting for it to boot up and upload interent sites! I did switch my interent service and home phone through my cable company. So for the next 2 years I will save on all that! I hope then I can pay off a hospital bill for when I was in the hospital for my hystercomy in 2008! In 2 months I will have my vet bill finally paid off so I should be able to take care of the other bill! That is what's going on with me right now!

Glad you could get a new computer and like it so much. I am sorry to hear Maggie is still in the hospital. It has been a long time. I hope she will be well enough to come home soon.
