Lesson I learned for myself

It was Jan 31st, and I was over the minimum 10.00 cashout. I thought to myself how little you can actually do with 10.00. So I moved my payout up to 25.00 to at least see substance when I do get a payout.
I just never saw much of what the 10.00 did when I moved it over to my checking account. Think it went for gas.
But with the price of gas today I think I would like to hold off for the 25.
Any mylotters here that don't scramble to make the 10.00 payout?
I notice quite a few that will be beating the computer keys to make the minimum.
I use mylot and another work site for something for me now. So I think I will like this cash out better. other work sites I work on do not grab your money on the first like mylot does. So I keep adding to them too til I have 25 minimum.
Does anyone else just relax and enjoy mylot like me?

Earnings are just a bonus here for me and I don't think about reaching payout, it just happens.
What did you mean by this statement:
'other work sites I work on do not grab your money on the first like mylot does' ??

What I meant was if you reach the payout then on the first you start with 0 again to reach the next payout.
I work on different work sites online and they let you determine when you want a payout even after making the minimum. Sorry if I did not make sense (probably my memory loss LOL)

I kept my payout at $10.00 because it's easier for me to reach it than the others, but making it higher means that it will take longer to reach, but it is good for people who actually want to make sure they earn more before being paid.

I noticed my payout was at 14.00 and decided I may as well keep on going and changed it before the end of Jan 31st so it would not get moved over and I would be back at 0.
I guess I like when to choose having a payout rather than it happening automatically.
Have a wonderful evening.

Yeah, I'm not really ever concerned about the money or the payouts. I'm just becoming more active now, I haven't gotten a payout in like 6 months+. But mainly I'm just using MyLot to get some things off my chest and to help pass the time, like when I'm bored today (Sunday) and have nothing to do but wait for my laundry to get done. It might be nice too, to wait until you have a more substantial amount of money - like $50 or $100. I find that when I get payouts for like, $10 at a time, I tend to spend it right away on something dumb. WHEREAS I should let it add up in my savings account. That's why I like getting lump sums better. But I can't even imagine how long it would take to accumulate $100 - probably a year for me or more!

I think you are right I cant imagine trying to wait for 100.00 here either. Guess we would have to ask the mylot pros on that one!
Have a wonderful night

im here for fun also, i love to see my earning grows while having reading and responding though i wouldnt mind if i didnt reach payout for the month. i normally set payout in $10 and let my money grow as savings in my paypal as money is already safe there. i want to save online earnings and buy gadget at the end of the year which is more rewarding as its like a trophy for being here online.

your right I love being here and making the friends I have made.
I do notice that no one has responded though that want to make that minimum each month.
I figure if I need money I will go shake my hubby for his piggy bank
He is a frugal man and does not like me spending on things like my candle tarts so I use mylot and some other work sites for my one little delight.
Have a wonderful evening.

Hi marie: Well I don't think too much about my earnings. Probably because I don't use my Mylot earnings to pay the bills but to buy the things I like. So when I reach the minimum $10 I take it and when I have enough funds in my account I buy funny things like Wii games, movies, Cds or DVDs

Thats ok Alvaro I have my fun item too its candle tarts.
they are wickless and you put them in a little burner with a tea candle under it to emit the fragrance or there are little electric pots you can buy that you will not have any fire going.
I am presently burning vanilla butter fudge.
Yep thats what I use mylot money on LOL.

I know what you mean by just relax and find it much better to think of it just as an incentive, something to aim for. I have about $10.oo in Canadian Tire Money. You know what that is? Like coupons for merchandise. It is a big stack and fun counting it. Makes me feel rich.

My goodness I did not know this discussion would be so fun to start. yea I just sit there and watch what I made each day and wonder how I made that much or how come that little?
It amazes me how this all works.
I love candle tarts so most of the time my mylot is spent on frivolous stuff but its ok. we only live once!
Have a great evening.

Hi Marie!
I have not been on mylot for quite a while. I used to do writing tasks to make my cashout, but now I think I want to participate more in the discussions. It's so easy to just write about things you like and are interested in.
I would take the minimum always, because why should anyone hold my money? Hmmmm... how long will it take me to pay for airfare for my next trip?
I guess we will see!
Have a great weekend!

Oh my goodness Colleen you made me laugh. I would not even want to imagine how long you would have to be online to do an airfare from here.
I am sure it would be long after I am dimenished from this earth LOL.
Thanks for the smile!

Hi Marie,
I always have my eye on the prize but I relax while using myLot. It's very hard for me to get the minimum anyway...I'm so much slower than everyone else even since getting broadband satellite. There is no point to me rushing unless it's the final week and I'm less than a dollar off. My funds simply go into Pay-Pal where they are used for my many online purchases.

i dont scramble that much to make payout. i did make payout in January but i think it took me like 6 months to get there. i just dont have a lot of time to mylot, perhaps as much as i would like to anyways.
as for the $10, i have used it on ebay in the past to purchase Christmas presents on ebay for my kids which is what i will be doing with this payout too.

Hi Cher yes I get my sterling silver rings on ebay.
I don't wear any other jewelry other than my two ring fingers.
Just never was much into jewelry.
But I tend to take my little payouts and put them on candle tarts.
I can sniff as I write on mylot and they always smell so good!
Its good to sock the money away for Xmas gifts.
Unfortunately when I was raising my 5 mylot was not heard of and barely a computer.
yahoo chat was the awesome thing then which it isn't anymore.
Thanks for your response.

I think I will leave my payout at $10.00. It isn't much, but it is a goal and I like reaching any payout. I don't go out of my way to make it every month. I think the last time I made payout was over a year ago, but now I have a little more time and 8 months of discussions to catch up on so maybe I can connect with some of my friends again and start communicating. How are you doing these days?

Sometimes I don't come to mylot for a month or two at a time. I don't try to hurry yp and make the payout, but I do enjoy seeing the new payout amount being added to my account. I have never used the money I have added to my accounts, but I know that one day it will be put to great use, so I appreciate it so very much.

Hello Marie,
I have cashed out twice when i kept $25 as payout and once when i kept it to $10 but this time i am thinking to increase it to $50 and hope will get to it in 3~4 months as $50 looks some decent money.Even though if i don't reach it in 3~4 months too it hardly matters as earnings from MYLOT is like a bonus for me as i do online stuffs just for fun as i have a regular offline job.

wow moved yours up to 50.00.
I think I will stick with the 25.00. I like you enjoy mylot I had just seen different discussions started where people had sat up all night to make that last bit to get the payout.
I want mylot to be relaxing because I want to come here. I think when it becomes a job then we enjoy it less.
Good answer!

Me! I just accept how much I can get myLotting. But of course, I always would love to cash out every month. But when I am really busy, I am sure not to reach the minimum payout. I only set it at $10 so that I am motivated to reach for it when I can see that my earnings is near it. I get much disinterested whenever I see myself still far from the target. That's why I never set my minimum payout higher than $10. But still, I do earn more than my minimum payout in some months. I don't necessarily work hard here in myLot. I just enjoy the discussions and respond naturally. I think that is the secret to earning more in here. Just go with the flow of discussing and bringing out your opinions. Happy myLotting!
