Hi,
Have you ever tried to make friends in new city, I have weird experience since I was out of town last week and I try to make formal contacts but people don't try to hear me even they don't seems to interest in talking to some anonymous guy, so I have spend whole week alone roaming here and there.
what you try to do when reach new place does this happen with you?

I wouldn't be surprised by this. When an anonymous guy approach me and start introducing himself or start talking about something, I get nervous. Different ugly thoughts start running in my mind. I guess this is because the world is full of unkind people and we never know who are the real good ones and who are the bad ones.
Maybe I would ask one friend or relative to introduce me to somebody to start a friendship chain

It is fine as long as you know the person or if you are in one community or organization but say, you just approach someone while walking in the street just to make friends, it is quite scary actually.. Or for me at least..

I have found new friends during staying at youth hostels and backpacker on my travels. I know another place to meet new friends in at a gym or swimming pool. I made friends at a course I did in Spanish level 1. I am very keen on making new friends. I hope that you will make lots of lovely friends in your new city.

A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out.
Friendships are fragile things and require as much care in handling as any other fragile and precious thing. Lets treasure all our friends!
