I don't know if all of you were familiar of Myka Gutierrez's story that her boyfriend killed her with 12 stabbed wounds and this crime was even happened at Decena St. Pasay City similar to my hometown. This crime was happened on February 1, 2011 and it is already 1 year so it was featured in SOCO last Friday since it was already 1 year death anniversary and unfortunately the suspect which is her boyfriend is still at large until now. It really caught my attention for a fact that the suspect is actually my schoolmate in St. Mary's Academy of Pasay City, though of course I don't know him personally and I've never seen him before in our school. When I've heard about this crime a year ago that I discovered that he is also a Marian like us so I bothered to search his name on facebook only to find out that the mutual friend of mine is my cousin and the other one was my teacher in Science way back in elementary days, though no doubts about it because maybe he was been her student. So I've sent text messages to my cousin asking if he knows what her classmate did, then she herself can't even believe that this guy will do it because in the first place when he became the classmate of my cousin he was behave and only simple. Honestly I became so intrigue regarding this issue but of course at the same time as his schoolmate and a Marian that is an educated person I really felt ashamed of what he did.
When I watched the SOCO last Friday, I realized some information about this crime. The girlfriend was actually brought in Pasay City General Hospital where in it is just a walking distance from our school which is St. Mary's Academy. It was the father of the suspect who brought the body of Myka in the hospital. Myka's parents does not have any idea of why she is in the hospital but accident is the only thing that they know. When the parents of Myka arrived in the hospital unfortunately she was already dead. The sad part here is Myka is the only daughter and they have been trusting her boyfriend thinking that their daughter is always safe because of boyfriend. Then only to find out that the man would be the reason why Myka will be gone.
The friends of both lovers were interviewed and they can't believe of what happened especially for a fact that the guy killed his own girlfriend. Obviously it was his first time to be in love but then as their friends' claimed that they are always fighting each other even before they were still friends. All they knew about the guy was also same to the observation of my cousin that he is behave and only simple. Their analysis was they think he was already pressured by his girlfriend because he is a type of guy that won't talk right away regarding his problems. There was no accurate information of why the boyfriend have decided to kill his own girlfriend like if there was a third party or jealousy.
In my opinion being behave and simple does not mean that a person has good attitude or someone who has moral values that can always think right. You'll never know what is inside his mind. I remember what my teacher told us that she is more afraid of a person that is behave and I actually realized that it is totally true. I am also afraid of people that are behave because one day it has a possibility that can make any scary moves. But of course this is not applicable to all people because there are other people who are indeed very quiet and behave but it does not mean that they are freaky.
This is another record last year about dying because of love or the crime of passion. This was just the same thing as what happened to the SM malls but of course different stories and scenarios but same aspect in terms of relationship.
Hoping that this guy would be caught already by the police and face the consequence of what he did. JUSTICE MUST STILL SERVE!

it is quite sad that this things happen not only here in the Philippines but also around the world. This is one proof that the world is getting worse. What can we do about it? I think the only thing we can do is to pray.
For the incident mentioned above, i also hope and pray that the culprit will be captured and I hope that he atoned for his sin. I also wish that the family of the victim to be well..

Yeah that is the sad part and if you are going to read all those kind of crimes the probably if you collect all articles this could be more than the pages of bible. I can't imagine the population now inside the jail. Prayers is the most powerful weapon that we can do to protect us in all harms.

I agree with you. It may not be a major subject or even a minor itself but at least there must be a curriculum about anger management because this is really part of our lives. I believe the suspect was been misguided by the family who weren't able to learn how he express his angers towards other people. Unfortunately that is the result. It is a calling for us that we should really know how to control our emotions.

Hello Metatronik, I believe the person's inability to refuse a break up is something that caught him in the edge. I maybe raised as a good person but i have my bad side, unfortunately this guy didn't use his rational thought and become obsess with the girl, and that's not good. I don't think love can make us kill, obsession is. I think he went over the edge to what ever problem that he had

I agree the obsession can be really trigger into crime. Because if he has the feeling of love then I believe he won't commit a crime. At least he must have the respect and understanding to the person he really loves. I am also thinking if he is about to have Psychological issue.

Hi Meta! I agree with what you said about people who are too silent to be true.. a character like that is always a mystery. We all have dark sides and it would be an equilibrium to allow that dark side out every once in a while otherwise everything we will just be bottling up inside and ready to explode to negativity.
It is no different from what ive heard about overly conservative ladies as they might even be really indecent. In fact, i even laughed at that thought...

I believe people who are quiet tends to be have more pain and hate inside . unfortunately this person wasn't expessing much of his feelings to contain the anger or disappointment inside, that's why we have friends and relatives to let know of our feelings and help get through the bad feeling inside

To be honest I've experienced that feeling that is why there are times that I became hostile and tend to say harsh words. Aside from that sometimes I really yell if I am already pressured. That is true that being quiet tends to have more pain and hate inside because you thought that you can still handle and carry that will get rid right away but then it can't be. People tend to be quiet because they don't know how to express their feelings and most of the time they would be afraid of trouble. But unfortunately if you are pressured there will be a point that you can't think very well. Good thing I have my boyfriend who is a good listener that is why it lessens my pain.
And yeah regarding the conservative they are being challenged at times, they also tend to be indecent that you thought they are 100% wholesome.

I beg to disagree, on your generalizations pertaining to quiet people. This has something to do with a common notion-"ang taong tahimik, nasa loob ang kulo" or something like that. I have been a quiet person all my life, and I chose to be so for me to be able to think and contemplate more. I like to think a lot. it's the reason why I prefer to be silent rather than talk. I have a lot of friends who are like that and yet they seem to be doing fine. In fact many of us have their own businesses, very good careers and happy family. You see it's not about how we behave but why we behave the way we do. I know of people also that loves to talk and yet they scammed a lot of people. 80% of people I know who are "madaldal" have money issues. It's either they committed estafa, theft or perjury.

I didn't know about this not until recently. But not through SOCO, but through facebook. I had two wall posts of this guy's picture in my wall yesterday. Both were indicating that there is reward to who ever will inform the location of the guy. I so hope that he will be caught so that the public and the victim's family will really know once and for all, if he is really the one who killed her.

This is sure that the suspect is still missing until now with the help of his parents or his family. It is really impossible that he can make it on his own unless he is smart enough that he can hide. He is good in hiding compare to Jason Ivler. But I do really hope that he will be caught anytime.

Gosh! I don't think it is something we can really call love. He doesn't treat her as a woman rather he treats her as a property, something to be owned.
Sad story that can happen just to anyone so just be careful :(.

That is a sad part, it came to the point that his world turned around to the girl as the friend of the guy claimed that as well. The problem is he weren't able to control his emotions.
