I have a 7 yr.old dog and his name is Prince Odie! I really like him so much. If he's their I feel comfortable because I think he will protect us .. everywhere we go with my family he wants also to be their. If I say go out Prince I don't want to see you inside the house then he will go out He understand what we wanted him to do. If he wants to get inside in the house he will just bark and knock the door through his legs. We don't let him used a dog tie because we want him to suffer due to the tie in his neck. and we allow him to play with our neighbors.
Lastly, I'm so happy and proud to our that in his seven years of existence even once he don't try to bite us or the people around him.
Does your dog has a characteristics like mine too?

Hi no_ming,
I have a Boston/Rat Terrier mix, and she is part of my family. Shes loves laying on people's laps. She's very affectionate.I love treating her to treats all the time. She has a sweater for when it gets cold out. She loves people and wants to greet everyone she sees, and she also wants to play with every dog she sees.Dogs should be treated like family ,they have a high intelligence. My dog's name is "Serenity".

Wow! what a great dog she is! Some people afraid of dog especially if it's their first time to meet the dog. They are not confident even if you will tell them that it will not bite them.
someday I want to have a dog like yours. I want to have lots of dogs roaming around my home. :)

No, it is both cruel and will work against you to treat your dog as a human. Dogs are happiest in a hierarchy, humans are not

A pet dog or rather the one which is being reared and nurtured in the household form part of the family circles. I would treat my dog as one who is related to me in all respects. All the love and concern, affection and regard, care and attention.....your dog need all these and many more. It is just one among the family members. In fact it has been showing love and faithfulness to you all these days. It is one among you...

I haven't any dogs. But if i had a dog , i would treat him like a family member, because dogs are honest, and often help people.A long time ago ,i had a sparrow. The bird was so lovely that one day i hurt him by accident,i was so sad.I always think of him and i am very regretful until now.

I hope that you will have at least a one dog soon.. :) We have birds too last year but I set them free . I let them out in their cage because I feel that they are suffering while the birds outside are free flying in the sky. and I think that they can still eat even no ones is taking care of them.

Good to have a dog like that.My cousin has a dog and it poops everywhere. When I visit them,it really smells bad.I don't know how they treat their dog but they are harmless, except for the other dog although he doesn't bite us but he barks when he sees other people who he thinks is not familiar with.I admire my cousins dog because whenever she gives birth, she does not bite us if we play with her puppies.
