Well, it seems that everybody feared that the strong earthquakes can cause tsunami. But what i am worrying about is the mining areas. If we can remember what had happened in pantukan, davao. Strong earthquakes could cause unstable grounds to collapse. Some mining areas operated by small scale miners could be one of the victims if this continues. I hope the government can look into this and make some improvements in implementing the mining laws

It is awful that four months ago a strong earthquake has happened in the Philippines. Mine workers were probably in very much danger. It is terrible when an earthquake sends out a tsunami.
I was traveling in Chile in March of this year. I experienced two earthquakes whilst there and these were scary experiences. The first one measured 6.3 and it happened when I was in bed during the night. The second one measured 6.8 and I was in the lounge during the day time. I saw and felt the glazing shaking and I was worried.
Good luck to the Philippines when it suffers an earthquake.

Yeah it hit us, right in the middle of our class in school. -sigh- Classes were suspended. It's good that we were far from the more areas which were intensely affected. I actually posted about my personal experience during the earthquake in another discussion. I was kinda hoping there would be no classes today but... there is.
It's depressing, what happened to the other people who were victims to this natural calamity. Let us pray for safety and let us not panic.

Small mining in our area in Davao is so rampant, because their is no big companies operating about it. Small mining is just a miner who wants to earn money for the family, but not so sure of their security. They are following the veins of the gold, but the timber support is not so sure. If rains continues, soil erosion will be happen. Government must do a preventive precautions.

yes.
There are more and more earthquakes happening throughout the world recently and I'm really glad that the place where I live hasn't been hit by a strong earthquake.
I feel bad for those victims of the earthquake and the government should help them fix what was destroyed by the earthquake.
Did the number of earthquakes increased since last year? Because I've been hearing alot of earthquakes in the news.
Why are there so many earthquakes recently?
I hope what they say about 2012 is not real. Because in the movie, there were alot of earthquakes.
I'm from las pinas philippines btw.
Hope I helped. :)

I do watch the news as of the moment ans it is about the earthquake that happen later this afternoon and those aftershocks that still happening. There are some casualties that are already found and some are still missing. They say that this was cause by new fault line.
I hope God bless each and everyone of them and praying for their safety.Being aware and alert should always practice to avoid panic during this kind of calamity.
