I guess the network should try to improve their service. During holidays, Christmas, New Year or during times when communication is very important (like what happened in the Visayas region) the network never failed to delay your messages. I know that it's due to traffic, but I think they should do something to at least regulate it.

I have a friend in Cebu whom I texted when I heard about the earthquake. She has not responded up to now. She used to reply to every text I send. She is using SUN Cellular and I am using Smart. It took me long to send the message and I am still waiting for the response. My other friend in Cebu immediately replied after my message. I was worried about them and wanted to know they are safe and fine. Networks do suffer from heavy traffic especially when there are calamities and special occasions. It must be because of the unlimited calls and texts.

After Smart's acquisition of shares in Sun Cellular, the signal and the text messaging traffic became really poor for Sun Cellular. They were already doing well before. The signal was getting better. I don't know why they had to sell shared to their competitor but consumers suffered because of that so-called merger.
