Are you the type of person to wait till the last minute with something? Some people at my job does it all the time. It gets on my nerves when people at my job wait till the last minute. They schedule for something and make it mandatory for you to be there but doesn't give enough information. They wait till the day of to let people know, not letting us have time or be ready for the meeting. Another, they love to do is to wait till last minute wanting something done, now I have to rush to complete something for them.

No not with everything. If it is rather important I will usually get to it right away but if I'm not looking forward to it and it's not really that important sometimes I will wait, til the last minute. I've been known as being world's biggest procrastinator, though LOL.

I agree. There are some things that needed not to be rushed. Sometimes, I do make a list of what should I do right away (and things I've been putting off). I guess it is my nature to see things first before actually doing it or do the whirlwind thing and do it impulsively. I usually do a combination of both since there are times that i want to think and consider hat I really must do.

With everyday things I don't wait until the last minute because I'm one of those people who worries to the point where living in the moment is hard. If I sit there and worry about what I need to get done, I can't enjoy the time beforehand, so why not just get it over with and enjoy the rest of the day? However, with school work, especially papers, I wait til the last minute. Last time I did this, I got one hundred percent on a Psych paper. I was so impressed with myself, I've never gotten an actual one hundred percent on a paper!

I always leave things for the last minute. It is a very bad habit of mine and I really hope I drop it someday, It really messes up my life and makes me feel very bad when I suddenley realize I forgot to do something or had to do something with little or no time for it to be done! I am very perfectionist so I want things to be done with quality. I should get an agenda!

I must be honest and admit that it very much depends on the situation. When it affects others, I will not wait until the last minute. Being considerate is essential in relationships. Generally, with work I do not procrastinate. With studies...now that is another story all together. Somehow, I will always and I mean always leave it until the last possible moment. Only then can I focus to study. It has worked out well thus far, although I do not recommend it! (-:

i have experienced this myself, actually. i mean there are a lot of people like this and sometimes they would really think that there is nothing much to do then they would cram making you late all over... i think this is really because some people are just lazy to finish things up and would always procrastinate.

I can see why you'd be so frustrated. Working with procrastinators can be maddening! I'm fortunate, I guess, that I no longer work with other people. I have my own business and work by myself and I am just the opposite of a procrastinator, I like to get things done as soon as possible to get them out of the way. I've had things happen in the past that got in the way so I was unable to take care of things that were really important so I learned. I worked for myself for about 20 years, working from my home doing proofreading, typesetting and copy editing. With young kids, I got my work done as soon as it was in my door because I never knew what could (and often did) happen, especially with a hyperactive son. I've continued on with that way of doing everything even though I'm no longer doing that kind of work. I like knowing that things are done well before they have to be. My husband is the opposite. He puts things off until the last minute. I'm not sure but I think he thinks he works best under pressure. I think that way of thinking is just plain stupid.

I do not wait till the last minute to do things.Nowadays, i follow a schedule and mostly keep to it.At times i might forget some chore which i will complete at the last minute. As regards meeting and work,i prepare well in advance else i will cut a sorry figure when the opportune time comes.Others in our life expect things immediately without giving time,i feel we have to handle such people with tact.I agree it is infuriating when others give us a bundle of work at the last minute and expect us to complete it in a short while.

que sera, sera.. whatever will be, will be, as the future is not for us to see, lol! waiting for the last minute is somewhat a notorious mentality and yet we see a lot of people having the tendency to do this. what is important you get things done well enough without compensating on other's faults.

Nope. I don't. I am the type of person that I want everything done before the last minute. I don't want that feeling that I'll get stress out of thing that I haven't done early and soon to be due.

Let's say the same thing happens to me almost. When someone asks me a favor, perhaps, most often comes at the last moment and I have to "beat" to make sure that it is satisfied. But I for my commission, I prefer to act in advance.

Hi Blkqueen, I like to think that I live my life, Not on the edge. thats what I call people who save thing until the last minute..I am not a big planner but I would like to have time to run the situtation around in my head to see if it fits right in my schedule... But I also like spontaneous at times...I like the element of surprise they have a tendency of have good results...especially when its done with/by someone who are special to you....

Well, my mom always said I was slow and called me a 'cows tail'. And she was afraid I wouldn't be there when my baby was born. When I was attending college, my professor called me a procrastinator, and sure enough, when I looked it up, she was right!

I dont wait for the last minute because I do not like rushing. I would feel like I was forgetting something all the time and my nerves cannot handle that.
