I work and try hard to be reasonable and flexible. But i do prefer my family to see things my way as i know a lot of the time it would benefit the family more. For example I think it is a good thing to keep our life simple. That way we can really enjoy time together and not have unnecessary debt which would cause more stress and less time for the family to be together.

Mostly I am a reasonable person. Perhaps far more reasonable than st people that I know, where I can try and be accommodating, if the other person looks like they might make somewhat of an effort to do so as well. Here is the thing however. I do have my limits with how reasonable I am going to be. And when the other person is going to be less than reasonable, then I am less thrilled with trying to be reasonable.
Of course my way is the reasonable way a lot of the time. There are times where I think that most would like to get out of the situation with a minimum of headaches, so they can move on and move forward with their life. At least that is the idea in theory, that is less obvious right in practice. And obviously when two stubborn forces collide, its not going to end well.

I'm glad to hear that you are a reasonable person. Being around those who aren't can be difficult. They usually end up rubbing us the wrong. I understand your limits. It can be hard to be that way when we have to put up with unyielding individuals.

There are times that we really need to be firm on some things concerning our family. It doesn't mean we're being unreasonable. We're just trying to look after them. I myself had to be firm about a lot of things especially when it comes to expenses. Like you, I also want a simple debt-free life, and I want my family to realize that.
