Trading a good night's sleep with reading a good book

I would trade a good night's sleep for a very good book. If I started reading a good book at night, like that of Clive Cussler's with Dirk Pitt as the character, I would be able to finish it at dawn, of course with breaks in between When I was young and have just learned how to read, I would pick up papers (even dirty ones!) along the road/way as I walk to school each day. I love reading and had sleepless nights just because of reading good books that have mixtures of history, suspense, action, but no romance - we get that in real life so no need What would you give up just to read a very good book?

I was attracted to your discussion, because last night I didn't get much sleep I was reading a really good book that I couldn't put down. I always wanted to read one more chapter, because I found the story very interesting and it was also very well-written. I don't usually read all night, I get too tired the next day if I do that. I just read for an hour or something like that and then I go to sleep...unless the book is really, really good

Hi! Yes, when we are reading a very good book, we thought we only read for an hour but when we see the time, we haven't noticed we've already been reading for hours! When I manage to get a good book to read, I like reading it at night because no distractions. I will say "another 30 minutes then I'll sleep" and then the pages get exciting and exciting I can't put down the book Thanks for the response, Porcospino!

well you have a similar habit like mine. I too can quit sleeping for a very good book of mine provided that its the holiday the next day.else it would cause real tiredness all through the day and i wont be able to concentrate on my work. so provide that its one of my favourite writer and its really an interesting book i wont mind staying awake all through the night to finish my book. In-fact I have done the same many times in my life.
