Facebook has filed for IPO ( Initial Public Offering ) which is one of the largest ever in the history of internet public offerings...Would you invest in it? According to sources the company is likely to gain ten billion dollars from the investors .....friends, what are your views about this issue since there are many controversies surrounding the whole issue...

Yes, I would totally invest if i have money.. Even if it is too public and having some issues, we cannot really deny that its really making a lot more money.. Investing on facebook will really make your life change.. Some people are not really interested in gaining more money.. They just want to have a normal life and have a happy simple life.. Some people think they would stop using social networks because they are just being used to gain money.. Even in one way or another.. Even social networks just used us for money, it still helps people express communicate and even great friends and lovers..

Hi Harrymon, thanks a lot for sharing your viewsI too feel that buying good stocks is an excellent investment and it can have long term gains. Most people want to play it safe which is in a way understandable since most people do not have much spare cash and would not want to lose it, which can easily happen in stock market... Social sites have their uses and I feel it entirely depends on us as to how best we use it to our advantage - all the best and enjoy your evening

Hi Kiran! I was not aware about the FB IPO. I came to know about it through your post only. I would like to invest in its shares, provided we Indians are eligible/allowed to buy its shares. What are you going to do?

Hi deepak, the news has been all over the media since more than a month now , I am surprised that not many members here are aware of it.. I too would definitely buy a few shares at least if given an opportunity to do so.The details are not still clear as to when it would be made public etc etc...I am sure when that happens one will not miss it since it is bound to be well publicised

Hi kiran, Who don't want to gain money? I'm interested to invest money in IPO. But I don't know whether my government would allow me to invest that company. I want to know more details about this investment.

Yes bhanu, we all want to make money and when there is an opportunity we have to grab it.I too am not sure if Indians can invest in FB shares. On the other hand I am sure that India must be having the largest number of members on FB so they should allow us to participate as well...thanks a lot bhanu and all the best

I am not interested to invest the money for IPO because last time when invested the money in Reliance power lost my money the closing cost was high but the opening cost was less.

You should have waited till the prices went higher, or did you do day trading because that is very risky and you may not be able to cover your losses before the end of the day...Whereas if you but shares for long term investment you can make good money !

Hi dabie, that is one way of looking at it - that they made their money through us , the members.I guess that's what smart business is all about and now there will be much more coming in with the IPO.I agree that Life is sometimes unfair and one cannot simply understand the logic behind it - thanks a lot and happy mylotting
