The best news and way to have fun and make money since mylot :)

It seems my good news became very bad all of the sudden. Yesterday , while in the middle of a session of reviewing, when i refreshed the page, it told me my country was blocked as well. It was quite a shock. Lucky for me I had requested a cashout the day before, though i still don't know yet if i'm ever going to actually receive it. Considering the blocking was made after my request, I'm thinking I'll still get them. You know how it is, hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. Hope nothing will happen to mylot too, cause these two were my favorite sites ever!

Hello,peavey and welcome to the discussion. On Slicethepie they have every genre you can think of! Basically, any artist that want to have his/her music reviewed joins and submits music and then people start reviewing. You can choose though, when you join and complete the profile, the genres you prefer. I personally marked all of them because i like discovering quality music in any genre possible :) Let me know if you have anymore questions. Happy posting!

ok...I checked it out and I joined. I like it a lot. it's not as easy as it would appear...at least not to someone like me. I like that I can be on Mylot and listen at the same time. I love hearing new music. I find that I have no problem giving rave reviews on the songs I like. What I do have a problem with is being critical of the ones that I don't like. Music is art and it's all about perception. What I hate...another person could absolutely love. They asked me genres of music that I liked and then immediatly went to play music that was not in those genres. To Challenge??? I don't know. I try to be fair and hopefully the artist is understanding to the fact that all these reviews are merely opinions.

Hello, myfb2009!I'm a pretty recent user. I have my account for only 3 months,so i don't quite know what the situation was 2 years ago. Last changes i caught were 2 months ago, when they implemented a new ranking and leveling system, and now the refferals program which was put in use today. You still make points for songs, but also cash. The points grow your level, the cash goes into the main balance. Also, depending of the mark you give the song, your ranking grows or drops. If you rate the song much higher or much lower than the average it got to that point, your rank drops. If you give it a note that's close to the average, your ranking goes up. For bronze the base salary is 1c, for silver, which is me, 2c (but that's the base, and with what i write it gets to 10-12 usually), for gold 3c and for platinum 4c. I think you should give them another try, or consult their policy. Maybe not all countries can cashout and some can only get points as a reward. I really don't know. I didn't find anything in their FAQs regarding this subject. If you use it again and still gain only points, you can contact them directly to ask why. Good luck and let us know how it went. Maybe you'll be able to supply some interesting info for other of your countrymen or other people in the same situation as you!

Hello, aerous! As a matter of fact there are quite a lot of country songs there, or at least i had the fortune of finding them :)) When you sign up they usually ask you to select what types of music you would like to review most, but as i said in another occasion, i like finding new good songs and artists, no matter what genre they approach. I'm thinking if they made the decision to implement a refferal system they are prepare to expand and face the consequences. Though it has happened before to earning sites that they launched such a good deal that they had to retract it afterwards cause the expansion and costs were too much to handle.

Hello, befrind! From what I've seen, there are countries that have problems with the site. They either can't access it, or can't use their program to earn and redeem cash. Sorry about it. Seems like my good news is not so good for some. Now I feel bad :(
