Have you watched the new TV series "Smash" yet? What did you think of it?

My husband & I just watched this new TV series on our DVR last night. It's called "Smash". Now this was the pilot episode & normally you really can't tell just how good a TV series is going to be just from the pilot episode. Except I knew almost immediately that I was going to become a huge fan of this series. First I love(have always loved)Broadway shows, so that's one, 2nd they have some great stars in here. You might remember Debra Messing from the comedy "Will & Grace", well she plays a very good part. She's funny, smart, & she seems to be very good at what she does which is put together Broadway shows. Smash also has such great stars like actress Anjelica Huston. So far I LOVE her character in here. My favorite character is Karen. I love her voice. She is most definitely talented & even though she's not a blonde like the real "Marilyn" was I think she would be perfect for the part.

I really love this show. I love the music, the dancing, & MOST of the characters with the exception of Ivy. I think she is one huge bit#$%^&h. I can't wait till she gets whats coming to her. She got the part by sleeping with the director & not for any real talent either, although I do admit that she is somewhat talented. I think she could afford to lose a few pounds too now that I think about it. Yes, as you can see I really don't like her at all, but I do love the show itself.

Yes I can see that....LOL But I have to agree with you. I don't like her either & I don't think she is nearly as talented as Karen. Karen should have been chosen to play Marilyn, but like you said she chose NOT to sleep with the director so that's why she didn't get the part.
