mexican hairless is one of the most Unique breeds of dog because they were bald. It seemed like a lot of people find Mexican Hairless dogs disgusting and they wont give them a chance as pets. They seemed to be affectionate dogs but people seemed to discriminate the fact these dogs are hairless. Why do you think most of us preffered our dogs to be furry. People find Chihuahuas cute and Mexican hairless dogs are actually the ancestors of Chihuahuas, but yeah Chihuahuas developed hairs. I think a lot of people are hesitant to touch a Mexican hairless dog. This breed of dog dont seemed to be as popular as the furry breeds. If a friend of your gave you a Mexican hairless puppy, would you accept that puppy? or do you still prefer the furry dogs.

The dog looks friendly anyway. I want to have one if someone give me. My kids will be excited to have one I am sure of it. They like dogs- and they even adopt stray cats ...too much feeding :p

so you wont mind having a dog with no hair and has skin that will remind you of a keloid scar. These sogs sweat just like humans, so they need regular bath.

It looks like a dog with reptile skin or maybe a dog with 3rd degree burn.

Hi, I have to say for the first thing it would feel weird to pet a bald dog.The other thing about them is they can get sun burned,so they need sunscreen on their skin, and of corse they can't take cold climates. They're not my kind of dog, then again I don't know much about their personality or temperment. They're very different.

They temperament might be similar to chihuahuas cos they were the ancestors of chihuahuas but I could be wrong.yeah they were kind of high maintenance since their skin is kind of similar to humans, no thick hair., from what I know they need moisturizers too.

I saw this kind of breed in Tiendesitas and they are really cute. For me, whether a dog looks rugged or thin or hairless, I do not care. I love all kinds of dogs. If a friend will give me a puppy like this, I will gladly accept this. Of course, furry dogs are adorable as well and huggable.

@CaptAlbertWhisker good question. I don't think I would discriminate towards them. I sort of think they are intriguing. Maybe you don't see many around, because there are just not that many of them

I heard they were common in the US now but there is not much demand. People prefer the dogs who were pluffy and furry, They kind of look like reptiles in some ways, Some people who chose them as pets, give them tattoos.
