do you prefer small dogs or big dogs? If you answer my question I can give lots of good breeds to consider. a pomeranian would be a cool choice for a small dog though. They can get along with shitzus very well. I can give you a good suggestion of a name if you have another miniture dog. You can name a miniture dog "Missile" its a cool name and cute small dogs runs like little missiles.

Are you familiar with breeding? If not, I would encourage you to read up on the breed of dog you have now, and find out as much as you can BEFORE you get another Shih tzu to breed with your Denver. Please do not cross breed your dog with another that isn't the same as yours. There is not enough information available to know the affects on the puppies. Furthermore, it is often best to leave breeding to the ones who know exactly what they are doing. Too many puppies are born and end up in shelters because of those that didn't know what they were doing.

I am really a cat person but I have often thought about a little dog like that, but I am not sure I could cope with all the training involved with a dog, cats are much easier to maintain.

I love dogs and cats :) I have a female dog called Luna and 2 cats: Suzie and Chuck Norris. I love German Shepherds and I recommend them, if they're well trained they are lovely dogs.
