As been said Prayers can move mountains and I believe so. Though disasters happened at other countries, am so disturbed and worried whats happening to the Philippines. Calamities occurred one after another. After the typhoons that caused the big floods and landslides, the eruption of volcanoes, disasters at the mining camps now happened landslides again and a 6.9 and a 7 magnitude earthquake. lives lost again, houses were buried, numerous wounded, several still missing and 11 bridges were destroyed. People are still in trauma as 1000 aftershocks recorded and still going on at Cebu and Negros Oriental and Occidental. My countrymen may we find time to pray the rosary or an Our Father, a Hail Mary or a Glory Be or even just talk to God. Let's have a prayer request to put an end to these catastrophes. To dear mylotters you can join me in saying "Glory be to the father and to the son and to the holy spirit as it was the beginning is now and ever shall be world without end amen.

I'm from the Philippines too and I am one of the few who experienced the earthquake. I hope everything would be fine after what happened.

Just be patient and don't stop praying to God, The All Mighty. Many people are of the opinion that earthquake happens because there is a shift or movement under the earth. If this is so, then the coming of earthquake is predictable. But, as you see, no one knows when it will occur, right?

hi I think prayer is important in our daily lives but man also has to play he's role, I agree, we could pray and pray and pray but if we continue to destroy nature like cutting tress and living where it is dangerous because of our hard headedness then there would be no hope, we should also be always alert, self reliant and prepared. remember "God helps those who help themselves"

Prayer is really powerful. It is one of the best way to communicate with God. But, it would be best if we are going to pray in a way that we really repent for our sins. No matter how many times we pray, If it is out of sincerity then that kind of prayer is a waste.
