India records the first win in triseries - Ashwin dazzles with bat and ball.

India made a heavy weather of comparatively easy target before romping home with 4 wickets in hand. Ashwin dazzled with both ball and bat. First he helped restrict Sri Lankans to a score of 233 by taking 3 wickets for just 32 runs of 10 overs and then when India were in a spot of bother when Virat Kohli was out and India still needed 54 runs to win and only bowlers to follow, Ashwin chipped in with valuable 30. He and Jadeja made required 54 runs without getting separated and gave India much needed win in this triangular series. Ashwin was declared man of the match.

Good to See our World Champions returns. This will show the Class of our Young team. Also we can realise one truth from this that is home Ground Advantage only the reason for the Australians. yes friend after long time india got a victory and yes home advantage help all the nations when world cup was played in india even australia did not beat us due to home advantage and now we can not defeat australia because they have home advantage but i hopes except all these india won this series.

It is a nice feeling when you win. It is important to secure a win against Australia to confirm the place in the finals which should be our first target. India will redeem some prestige lost in test series if they reach the finals of the triseries at the least. Let us wish them all the best for that.

I agree with you shibham, the win could have been much easier had our front line batsmen played more sensibly and responsibly. We can understand a bowler having off day but there is no excuse for a batsman throwing away his wicket when win is at sight and his stay at the wicket is necessary. Raina, Dhoni, Sharma did exactly that. Had it not been for a responsible play from Ashwin and Jadeja India might have found themselves at loosing end despite being so comfortable for most of the time.

yes friend most needed victory was achieved by india and india play very well today and done work in all the fields mostly in bowling .indian bowlers help their team to stop srilanka only on 233 runs and then with the help of great innings of kohli,tendulkar,jadeja and ashwin they got this victory

Thank you ashudeep. Indian bowlers did very well to restrict Sri Lanka to 233. Initially Zaheer bowled very well to get rid of one of the openers and then spinners came to the party claiming 4 of the 8 wickets to fall. The other fast bowlers Praveen Kumar and Vinay Kumar proved costly. Ashwin, who was not that impressive in test series bowled very well to claim 3 wickets. Virat and Sachin played very well but other front line batsmen threw away their wickets otherwise it would have been a much easy win for India.

It was good day for INDIA when they win the match esily with Aswin as star both with bat and ball.
First INDIA din't allow srilankan to score a big with the superb bowling and more thr bolwers bolwed well in the middle. No srilankan batsmen were too much able to post runs. They fall shorts in making runs. Aswin was super cheap and affective with his great bowling. Restricting srilanka to 233 was great.
With a low score to chase INDIAN batsmen start looking good but lost early wicket of shewag. Then a great partnership between kholi and tendulkar made it half way for INDIA. Unfortunately tendulkar didn't make his ha;f century and fall. He was get bolwed. Later Rohit sharma did a little contribution but he also lost his mind with a wrong short and get out. Kholie after a superb half century fall his wicket on score 77. In middle raina and Dhoni too not last long, contribute a little to score. Then in again the curicial stage jadeja as well as Ashwin made a good contribution at end of the game with the score of 24* and 30* respectively. Aswhin was again a superb with bat.
It was great performance from bat as well as bowl where Aswin made INDIA to home with victory. He deserved the man of the match awrard. I hope in future too he do like this.

Well ! I didnot very satisfied the performance of indian team, As their is nothing shown that they are world champion and played a very silly game..
Well on this match which i say luckly indian win with their low order batting by jadeja and ashwin will show that if the opener as well as middle order batsmen except kholi will batting this type that they do..
Well This match they restricted sri lanka in 233 and they will chase the score in 1 or 2 wicket thats all, but when chasing the target the opener as well as middle order batsmen shown any consistency in this short selection at all..
So no doubt if they perform this type of performance in the series that will not reach to the final and win the same.......

Yeah, this victory was much needed for team India. It will boost up their confidence for sure.
Ashwin has delivered a great performance in both the category. He has added a valuable 30 runs for india. It is great performance by anybody who is specially a bowler. He is continuously performing with his bat. I think he has great potential to be an all rounder.
He helped India to get rid of chandimal who is performing very well from the previous few series.
But what's wrong with praveen, he is not doing well in aussie soil. It is a matter of concern for india. Rohit Sharma also not being able to utilize his opportunity, Raina is also in a bad form. Let's hope situation will be better very soon.
