Unfortunately, many policies in Indonesia tend to discourage their people more instead of being helpful such as this one. How can they expect to make that policy work knowing the price of the laptop and the teacher's salary is incompatible? The teachers would have much more basic needs to use their salary on instead of buying an overpriced laptop. I'm not trying to rub this in; but here, all students in my son's high school receive a free laptop to use at school and at home.

You're right. So many authorities there abuse their position instead of using their power for the good of others. They reach to their positions because of the people, but they are easily blinded by their power once they are in control.

I think most of the teachers will complain on forcing them to buy useful products that they are not their plans. But if I am one of those teachers, i am willing to but it if it met my standard choice of classifications of hardware and software specs, but mostly, it didn't met my standards, because i am preferring a low version of Operating System but a High Hardware and mostly "ASUS" brand, and if will not met my choice, i will be the one to complain that it's a corruption too.

they complaint because many factors 1. the order is MUST done by teacher...MUST means all the teacher must buy 2. some teacher had have laptop before the rule..and with the word MUST, it means they had 2 laptop if they Must buy this laptop 3. the spesification of this laptop is valued 4 millions, but the shop sell more than 7 millions..

So this is clearly not a good school idea. The same to what happen on the Elementary School found next in our town here in our place 3 years ago, that the school principal head forced her teachers to buy expensive lotions and bottled water not once but many times. But that school principal didn't last, she is expelled and impeached.

You know how it goes... If you buy through A, then B, then C. Then here it goes. From 7 million, C will get 1 million. Passing through B, who get another 1 million. Then, A will take the last 1 million, and finally it reached the actual price 4 million to the seller. But who's got to pay the whole 7 million? You know the answer...

Not all of the teacher, cz there are lots senior teacher that are not certified yet

Adhyz, please. Do they force the teacher to buy the same brand of laptop ? The same type ? I was talking about hoping the diknas won't force all non-certified teacher to buy laptop cz some of them are not able to use even learn laptop because of the age. Old teacher will get some trouble in using laptop.

I think teachers should be rejected, because there is no clarity of the relevant service, plus the price of the laptop is far more than the normal price, and I think it is unreasonable to require certification of buying a laptop...!

you may read the link of course in the heart of the teacher, they did not want to buy but this is pushing from Diknas if you protest or did not buy, maybe your position will be moved to another school..

This is not good teacher should not pushed the student to purchase anything some time if the students has no money but they take the money from parents by forcing only due to teacher force.

Hi there adhyz, this is significantly and obviously corruption the people who did this should be put in jail and removed from there posts, life is already hard as it is and to force teachers to buy something over priced and should be something that is not forced is illegal, years ago this also happened in my country something of this nature, the department handling the Vehicles in my country imposed that car owners can only renew vehicle certificates if they buy overpriced early warning device that was priced five times the original prize and even if you have the same exact early warning device good thing the department head back then was removed of service. But he should had been jailed for grave corruption.

Unfortunately, these kind of thing is all too common in Indonesia. It's in every level of authority. Those in lower rank think if the ones in higher position can do it, why not us? More and more it becomes like a normal thing to do, and it will just be harder and harder to rectify.

Wow what a policy. Good thing in our country, All teachers and pupils in public elementary school will be given free Laptops. As of now they haven't reach all public schools in our country. Because the the organizations who are releasing laptops need more funds. They are still campaigning for it. I hope officials on the organizations will not corrupt so that the pupils and teachers will able to receive the laptops.

Its very sad that some police are abusing their power for personal welfare. This problem should be address by the government. Teachers are not receiving millions that they can easily but laptop for the sake of certification. And the government should be involve with this concern. Maybe they can issue a laptop to their teachers. It can be of great help, not just to comply with the certification but also improving the teachers idea on computers. one day, they can use it to help their students
