Friends, our eyes are the window to the world. Eyes are one of the most important organ in the human body and vision is one of the most wonderful gift. It is important that we must take care of them. Just a simple care is, eat lots of fruits and veggies.Do you take care of your eyes once a week or at least once a month?

I take care of them as much as I possibly can. You cannot take your vision for granted. I suffer from dry eye syndrome and must take medicine to help hydrate them otherwise I will have problems. I used to wear contact lenses too but they bother me to much these days that I stopped. I take vitamins, eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, wash my face every morning and night with plain water or baby shampoo because it's the most gentlest for the eyes. I have had some eye allergies the past year in which I had to take drops to keep them from developing little bumpy things again.

Hi Boy, indeed it is always important to take care of our eyes. To have a good pair of eyes is important to us. Without it, we are unable to enjoy the beauty surrounding us. I even tried not to watch TV or the computer for a long time, as it can spoil our eye sights. Besides that, we should always have a balance diet as well.

I definitely take good care of my eyes especially since I have some eye problems right now. I do have slight astigmatism and I am near-sighted. I am wearing a pair of eyeglasses right now and I make sure that I get to see my doctor at least once a year to have it checked. I need my eyes and I really value them a lot because my day job requires me to be in front of the computer all day making lots of details and also because I just love reading. I try to eat food that are rich in Vitamin A and try to use some eyedrops once in a while to refresh tired eyes.

hello,
i am taking vitamin e and I dont know if it really helps my eyes but as long as i feel that I am tired I try to rest it for the meantime. Usually, I wash my face before facing my computer because I dont want to wash it while it is tired. I dont know any other ways to help my eyes. But I dont actually read on dark room.

Hi boylopez, yes our eyes are one of the most important organs, it is our major window to the world we live in and I really cannot imagine myself in a situation where I cannot see, even partially for that matter. Taking care of eyes should be a daily activity and not just limited to a few days a month. I take care of my eyes really well and make it a point to immerse my eyes in lukewarm water before going to bed. It relaxes my eye muscles and also helps remove all dust and dirt that may have gone in my eyes in the daytime. It has helped me maintain my eye health really well, and proudly, even though I have been working with computers for many years (at least 15 hrs per day) and do a lot of reading, I haven't have to wear glasses yet!

Great choice of topic, Boylopez. I have been reading quite a bit about Computer Eye Syndrome. How many of us can be affected with sore eyes due to staring at a computer screen for too many hours.
They do say that looking away from the computer screen after every 40 minutes really helps protect the eyes. Also, looking at the screen from the right angle etc..There is quite a bit of information on it now.
Oh. They also say that other than having an optimal ergonomic workstation - wearing a pair of computer glasses can further protect your eyes. This is what I read, best investigate more.
As you are spot on - our eyes are very important and we have to protect them!
