Why Do You Skipped other Responses In Your Discussion?

I saw one and read few mylotters who are questioning as follows:
Mylotters who keep starting many discussions everyday(5 or more discussions)
Mylotters who started a discussion/s and never response back (so called- response collector)
Mylotters who jump box to box as if he/she owns the discussion.
and a lot more, but I just want to point those few (common incidents)
What caught my attention recently is,
Why do you skipped other box- or other responses in your discussion?
I just responded to one discussion and saw that the topic-header responded to other comments and skipped others.
I read the comments that s/he skipped and those comments are not rude or not offensive.
Yes,everyone has the right to skip or not to comment back.
But,never complain if you do not earn that much, or why your rating is too low.
Have a good day everyone

Hi Jai!
Yes, we could see many complainants (read lotters) who make these kind of complaints and they are free to do so.
Not posting comments on each and every response is prerogative of the user (read host) and there is no point complaining about it. There could be many reasons for not posting comments on each and every response and those reasons are difficult to ascertain.
I also sometimes do not post my comments on each and every response due to various reasons and like-wise many of my responses are not commented upon by others
Have a nice day!
How are you doing?

hello dpk,
How are you, it's been a long time :)
I agree, it's everyone's choice whether to respond or not to any particular comment s/he receives.
At least I am sure I never leave your box blank- never I ever did that
Have a nice day too

I've been keeping busy, so I was absent from mylot/your posts.
Yes, I know that you do not leave my box blank and this point of yours is much appreciated.
I also try my best to post my comments to your responses to my posts.

Yeah he sometimes complain about his earning and rating. I told him how to improve his earning n rating. He said ok, I'll try and some sign that he'll change. But till now he is still the same

hello zaahro,
Oh, so you know someone who does same thing and still doing the same after you have given him a good advice.
Well, as long you have done your part, leave it.
maybe it's their choice- we cannot force them.
But, they will loose responders.
I note those one who skipped or never response back to my comment.

Hi! well , maybe they are just busy or was nor able to see those responses. Maybe they just don't know what to respond or what to comment.
For me, when i start a discussion i see to it that i comment to every response and i am very thankful to them. You see, i also feel sad if no one respond to my discussion so i see to it that i thank those who post responses. I believe too that there are discussions that of not my interest and i could not share anything to them so forgive me if i don't respond and participate to the discussions.

hello triplejazz,
It's reasonable for those who are busy.
Yes, we cannot blame those one.
There are mylotters who are really busy and posted a topic and come back after few days- but they respond back to comments that they received.
What I am talking is - those ones who are active and started a few topic.
I just responded to one of his/her topics and saw that he/she skipped other comments.
I checked his/her other topics and he/she is doing same. (skipping other boxes)
Well- it's his/her choice.
Thanks for your response and have a good day

Hi Di
Unfortunately there are so many lotters who are just not interested to respond. Even me at times do not respond to all at one go, I take my time though I try to ensure I respond to all those who take time and pain to read, tolerate me and also respond.
And of course, I have a weird habit of responding - there are times when I skip some responses to respond later and attend to some on a priority. Though not always but I do have this at times(but I do respond to all those whom I skip the first time). Hope I am excused for this. And I do not care or even think about my income from MyLot, though I was recently told that I am here for money

dear sids,
I know you you're not one of those.
If ever you get caught between offline work and been busy, you still find time to check your topic (for sure) and respond to any skipped boxes.
As for earnings matter.
Who doesn't want to earn extra aint?
We won't waste our time for nothing.
or else- we can stay tuned with other social sites, chatting and wasting without earning.(there's a lot of it)
But,we prefer mylot- for both- bonding and earning

yes jaiho2009,
this another jaiho here is completely agree with you. why do those members starts those discussion, if they do not want to give response on the others responses. yes, i think the mentallity here is to get more by crating more. but my advise for all those is "here in mylots quality is superior that quantity" so do not stick on the quantity, give some good quality.

Sometimes I get the impression that a member has skipped my response, but it is not always true. Sometimes it happens because that member doesn't comment on the first comment, then the second response, then the third response etc. They might start with the third response and return to the first and second response later on. That way you can get the impression that you have been skipped even though it is not true. I have experienced that sometimes.
Some members skip some responses and never return to those responses and that is different a situation. Maybe they don't have time to comment on every response or maybe they don't know what to write, but I still don't think it is nice to comment on some responses and ignore others and I usually avoid that in my own discussions. I like to talk to everyone who responds whether is an old friend or a newbie, and I appreciate every response that I get

hello Porcospino,
I know what you mean by skipping other's comment and later they go back to comment on that box (so, it looks like skipped but not)
But, there are mylotters who really do that intentionally, skipping boxes and never go back to comment- "choosy"- and it's habitual.
I understand it's our prerogative whether to response/comment back to all responses we received in our discussion (so it's their choice)
Good to know that you avoid such incident (skipping a comment).
That is why mylot is a good site to inter-act with people.
We can have fun while earning.

i had answered a discussion similar to this before, it was not addressed as skipping but mainly not responding because it is what it is - not responding. to skip sounds deliberate and discriminatory. as you said, one seems to be 'choosy'.
there were instances in some of my discussions that i do not respond to some comments but today, i am trying to avoid it. as i have mentioned before, one reason is because i do not understand the point of the comment. i cannot simply relate. but i discovered, through some mylotters, ways to respond so i am doing it now.
one reason, too, is some Mylotters are irresponsible in making comments or in responding. if one demands for the starter to respond, those who comment also has the responsibility to make a response that is well thought of and not just respond or comment for the sake of responding or making comments only to earn points. i mean, how can the discussion prosper with that kind of attitude?
just my two cents.

hello bingske,
I also learned a lot from other vets when I am just a newbie here.
That is what I am pointing- if only one knows how to listen and observe, they will surely know how to handle every responses without creating any issues and argument/s.
Yes,there are few who are not responsible enough and never mind to read the whole topic and just posted their comment without reading the whole content.
This lead to wrong comment and even confusing.
I've encountered with my previous topic.
One response is out of topic- obviously that mylotter never read the whole content and relay with the title alone (lols)
But still I respond to that comment according to the response and tell him/her to read the whole content next time so he/she will not write confusing comment.
Thanks and have a good day

Although I rarely skip discussion-responses, I would DO it if the response was rude enough, or out of topic enough.
I do like out of topic responses as they are most of the time humorous, but when it's really far off then I could decide that it doesn't deserve a response.
Most of the time I would get back to them, as I would like to let people know that I've read their responses because they took the time to contribute.

hello bounce,
Leaving the rude response-blank is reasonable to avoid issues and argument.
I do the same- I've experience a few when I am a newbie here.
Later I've learned how to deal with those kind of responses.
but,I never response back rudely- I just wrote something like " I don't want to argue, thanks for your response" and the respondent never comes again.
We can never avoid rude comments esp when they do not agree with us- so be it.
Giving a comment even how short it is- is our way to acknowledge their effort (forget the rude one/s- maybe a little consideration for them)
thanks for your response and have a good day

I skipped other responses if I have nothing to say and sometimes, if I cannot express it in English, I will not respond. It is better to skipped responses rather to write a respond that is nonsense. Those members who receive a respond might give you a negative rating so it is better to skipped a response if you have nothing to say.
We do not really know why some people skipped responses and it is difficult for us to judge them. Maybe:
1. They are not interested to your response.
2. They choose the response that would spark their interest
3. The response is rude.
4. They do not know how to write English
5. There is nothing to say
6. …and there is a lot of factors why they skipped a response to a discussion.
That is all.

hello IS,
You got some of the points.
1. They are not interested to your response.
Not much reasonable- this is a forum site and though everyone has the right to choose whether to comment back or not it's their discussion and they must know how to deal with each response. (just my opinion)
2. They choose the response that would spark their interest
this is what I call "choosy mylotter" fine and okay- but they must and should know that MyLot is a BIG FAMILY- must inter-act. If all veterans will act the same and all vets are not accommodating- I don't think newbies will survive with rude mylotters! (my opinion- no debate)
3. The response is rude.
THIS IS VERY REASONABLE - (unless one knows how to handle one- most vets knows how to handle rude comments)
4. They do not know how to write English
This is one reason why MyLot is a friendly site- everyone should bear with each other since not all mylotters came from country where English is their mother tongue. But okay, if someone really doesn't know how to deal with the comment- leave it blank is the best.(excusable)
5. There is nothing to say
I suggest them not to start a topic if they run out of words to say. We started a topic with specific subject,so, most of the comment contain almost same thoughts/ideas/advice (depends on what the topic is all about)- It's not a reasonable reason to skip any box as long as the comment is a good and decent answer. (again, my own opinion)
6. …and there is a lot of factors why they skipped a response to a discussion.
yes, there are many reason- for those who really doesn't want to comment and who has the habit of skipping. I accept some of the reason/s who have written above and no offense with my reasoning as well.
thanks for your detailed comment and have a good day

her I am not a response collector lol, but when I am off line I get so many responses, but I always catch up. some times it may take 3 days to respond to everyone but I always make sure no one will be left out cos I wanted to be a role model. But a lot of mylotters had been guilty of response collecting when they were new. But to be a victim of a response collector sucks, so you have to be someone who is not a response collector so those response collectors will be ashamed to skip you. I had removed lots of response collectors in my friend list. usually I give them 2 weeks to 1 month.
do you think this is a good idea, if you end up in a good discussion of a response collector. Invade their discussion and do their job to response. they wont make money from it.But you will and you get to enjoy their discussion even if they snub you.

And I agree with you- I also delete those ones in my lists.
There is no need to keep them in our list.
The only guilt I know I did and I accepted without reasoning is- there are times I do not/I cannot comment back and have a good inter-action with you and other mylotters since I lost my notification.
There is nothing wrong with commenting to every box/boxes or invading someone's topic.
I did it sometimes- yes especially if the discussion is really a good one.
That is why I also wonder why mylotters asks such question.
This is a forum site and honestly- I like it when someone keep jumping to all boxes with my discussion- it keeps my topic kicking in and even bring it to the hot list
have a good day Capt

Heya Capt,
You got a good point in there and now I realized one thing.
I guess the one who posted such question/topic about " mylotter who keep jumping from box to boxes" is the one who has the experience and was annoyed (hahahaha)with that mylotter.
- and it's you or either me- (hahahaha)
The starter was annoyed because you or me invade his/her topic.
Aha- such a good idea.
Yes, let's do that, and give them a lesson.
For sure, they will start commenting to their topic soon

if they dont give a damn about a topic they created, I think its a good option to invade it. They wont make money from our post anyway, they will only make money if they responded back. before I just skip their topics but i am considering a takeover would be an awesome option. they might get annoyed by the invasion though but its their fault if that their topic is invaded, LOL cos the one should be invading their topic is them but they neglect it.

When I start a discussion, I always answer or respond to each and everyone of them. Even if the response is not good enough, I always respond. It is respect. I know lots of people do not respond to my responses in their posts, but I always do out of respect for them. I always believe that they are entitled to receive a response. After all, they took the time to respond to my discussion, the least I could do is to respond back to their response.

Though with time i learnt that we should not do it and have a courtesy at least to comment back to all the responses.Yes there are many people who don't comment back to all the responses. Many times i have seen that the poster commented all the responses leaving only my response which really hurts.

Once we started a topic, we should be aware that comments will come almost with same thought and wordings.
We started a specific topic aint?- so, responses won't differ much from each other.
Never feel as if you have nothing to say- at least write a word to show appreciation.
We posted a topic for what reason anyway?- isn't to have responses and comments?
Then why not comment back to everyone?

I've been seeing people like that... response collector as you define them. I do think such people who expects a lot from myLot and starts making a dozen discussion every time they come here and not responding back will get what they want here - earn money. They might earn, but it will take time for them to even reach the minimum or get more payments. I also don't think they will enjoy the interactions here, coz the person is not actually interacting, just starting a discussion and leaving it open.

What is more annoying dear- they get irritated when someone response to comments on their discussion.
I sometimes response to boxes with interesting comment and it irritates those topic starter who never respond to their topic/s (lols)
That's the reason why they come back ranting about earning/s because they never know the tactic on how to earn more with inter-acting with other mylotters.

Response collector!
I don't understand too why a discussion starter would only comment back to some. It is funny that one would invite responses by starting a discussion but do nothing when the replies are in. I feel it is impolite and frustrating. But after sometime we will know who behave like that and we will know what to do, or rather, what not to do, next time.
As for people starting tons of discussions in one go, sometimes it can be irritating especially when the topics seem an "anything-will-do". I will usually delete the rest of the notifications and if it happens often, I will even stop the notification.

hello jkct,
I always welcome newbies gladly and respond to their topics.
Thu sometimes those topics are likely to be deleted due to violation/s.
I still respond to give warning and post the FAQ's link.
I also note those one who start tons of discussion and never comment back and- I don't go their topic again.
But with this one hobby of skipping other box/boxes is really impolite, I agree with you.
If they can respond to others, why leave other boxes and jump to the next comment- that's really rude (sorry for those who won't agree)
Better leave the whole discussion untouched- no response at all- than skipping others comment unresponded. (that's my opinion- at least that's being fair)
