Every individual's body responds to things differently. Like for example some people agree with some foods and some don't. So we cannot say that what agrees for individual A may agree for B and vice versa. We have to test for ourselves what is the best food for our body. High fiber diet may work for some or say man, but for some it may not. We should not follow the general perception. The most common thing that i have heard is drink plenty of water and trust me whenever i have tried that i have failed. My body i guess does not demand much water in any form so i have at the most 3 to 4 glasses maybe in form of juice or fruits, plain water, whatever the form maybe. But whenever i have forced myself to drinking 8 glasses of water which even the doctors say is very much needed for everyone, i have ended up vomiting. Finally, i realized that well that's what my body is. So i drink water whenever my body asks for it. I don't try to force myself with anything just because someone else has been doing it or someone else has told me to. Each one should learn his/her body metabolism and then decide for one ownself and you will have no problems. Here i don't mean eating junk foods because you have a craving for it. i mean eating healthy if you have decided to stay healthy. Cravings for me is not what your body demands, but it is what you have pampered your tongue with. Do you agree?

Yes i agree with you, each one of us have their own individual needs and that is why all diets for ex. are not working to everyone because our body reacts differently according to our needs and metabolism. In adition there are books written which say what you should eat according to your blood type..

thank you parascevi for your time and response. I didn't know that we should be eating according to our blood type as well. This is news for me. Thanks a lot for sharing this information. Will try and see if i get any material to read on food for blood type as well. Thanks once again.

You are very welcome. I know that there are these books because my doctor talked to me about that and he said that these diets according to your blood type helps the immune system to respond more quickly and that means you are more healthy. Unfortunately i have lost the paper that the doc wrote the titles of these books otherwise i would send them here.
Good luck with your diet!

Indeed food has a great influence on people's health. In chinese, food is a kind of medicine. Some foods are warm in nature like capsicum. When eating it, people will feel hot. While some foods are cold like mung beans and some others are medium like yellow millet white agaric. When having a cold, people should have chicken soup.

I have learned over time that we do have different needs when it comes to water intake, food etc. The thing is, throughout the years, I have stayed slim or at least healthy and active as I used to be up until I started working like 4 years ago. I love to walk and I have always been into eating food that I have been used to and have "tested" to be delicious. Back then, I don't really experiment on my food so I kind of developed a routine in a way. Also, I am a heavy sleeper and I love to take naps every now and then so, getting enough sleep kept energized when I was still in school. But, when I started working for a desk job that makes you sit and stare at the computer all day, I developed different cravings and I became more adventurous with food that I eat. That's when I started gaining weight. But now, I realized that sometimes, I have to take second thoughts before eating something, thinking whether it's good for my body, or if I really like it. And there are moments when I could overcome some cravings. I started becoming cautious of what I eat when I started developing allergies with different kinds of food and having my immune system lower than before. Now, I think I'm on the right track. I agree with you that we need to be familiar with our own bodies. Not everyone is alike. Although I still think we need 8 glasses of water to keep us hydrated.

Thank you penrockerchic for your time and response. Yes work routine can also disrupt our body. We are forced to sit in front of the computer for hours and we tend to binge on snacks and over time we see the ill effects of it on our body. Sleep also plays a important role when it comes to our body to gain back energy lost. Although the last point on drinking 8 glasses of water is still something i will debate on lol.

I don't know i don't usually pay attention with my health and so as with to what i eat, i just eat what i like even if i won't get any nutrients with it or if it can make me sick in the end, i don't know why i think this way and why i'm doing this, maybe it's just i'm not a health conscious person unlike others who spent their lives taking care of their body, counting calories or counting how much nutrients will they get maybe they just having a healthy living lolz

I also eat whatever food I want to eat.Sometimes,I take it in moderation. But when I feel like eating,I really eat a lot.I also can't have 8 glasses of water a day because I'm too lazy to do that even if its for my health.I don't know,I can't do it consistently.
