"THOSE CROOKS" ..Then and Now

This is actually an acronym that was prevalent during the Erap impeachment trial if you could only remember. These letters actually represent the surnames of 11 senators who voted not to disclose the envelope that allegedly encloses the billion-dollar ill-gotten wealth of the aforementioned deposed President. They are: 'THOSE'= Tatad, Honasan, Oreta, Santiago, Enrile; CROOKS: Coseteng, Revilla Sr., Ople, Osmena(John), Jaworski, Sotto. They were also dubbed as the "mag-oonseng senador" which means they are fraud, traitor etc. as well as considered to be on the "Hall of Shame". On the other hand, there were also "Hall of Fame"- they are those very good senators who voted for the said envelope to be opened. as an effect, all of the senators who are "inductees" of the Hall of Shame got lost on the 2004 elections- They all now realize the impact of what they did for willfully concealing the truth to come out. Now, with this impeachment trial of the chief Justice, which senators do you think will be our latest inductees to these "2 halls".lol. I just hope that they all learned from that experience of history. and with this impeachment of the chief Justice, whatever their decision may or will be, whether to acquit or to convict the respondent I just hope this time that they'll vote with all their conscience.

I hope so too. I hope that this impeachment trial will not be as long and dragging as Erap's. Although, lately I'm really annoyed with all the fuss they're putting in the impeachment trial. People seem to forget that Cebu just suffered an earthquake. No one seems to highlight than an entire village needs help. It's sad that the media would rather lap up the crap they put in the impeachment trial, than focus on getting support or help for the victims of the earthquake.

I think there are amny people who wish the same. However, we also have to keep in mind whetehr these people are doing the right thing. Personally, there will be no sense in these proceddings if it's just a asty show with no conclusive results. Aside from that, the governemtn should also focus on the eartquake and its victims. It has teh encessary resources - both people, expertise and money to do so. The goverment should know how to multitask because issues can come up whenver one doesn't expect. Let's jsut hope that the government can step up to the plate and perform excelelntly.

oh well i think they have not learned much, anyway.. it all boils down to the person's interest. :D the truth so much so does not matter to them as much as we think it does matter to us...

Politics are full of those scheme, and shameful activities our ordinary people won't know about. Why it is called "politics", people are taking political advantage and harm other people. That is shame, but still, so many people will do it, even though they are well educated individuals. I, myself seldom involve in politics, and neglect their existence for long time.
