If you are at home all day long do you stay in your pj's, get into something comfortable (sweats) or do you dress as if you were going to get up and go somewhere? I have this bad habit of just wanting to be comfortable. I dress in sweats or scrubs because I want to be comfortable. I do not like to get up and put on slacks or jeans and tops. I have had this ailment (I will call it) for several years. It is very unbecoming to answer the door for the UPS guy when you look as if you have just stepped out of bed. I am going to work on this bad habit. I have become too comfortable in my life and I need to start doing more to up the anti on how I look and feel. This is going to be one of my goals starting now. I am going to make the entire list up right now and I will see how well I do with them.
List of Goals for Personal Well-Being
1.) Get dressed in "normal" clothes daily... no lounging around in pj's, scrubs or sweats.
2.) Make sure I take my vitamins daily.
3.) Eating healthier daily. (keep a diary of this)
4.) Drink plenty of water daily. (at least 8 glasses)
5.) Put on make up daily.
6.) Do something with my hair (besides a pony tail) daily.
7.) Get in some type of exercise daily.
8.) Take time for Spiritual Guidance daily.
Do you have any similar goals for Personal Well-Being? What are they?

I have been suffering form the same exact thing as you. Lets call it the lounge disease. LOL. But I do need to do something about it. I keep on saying that after I have my morning coffee that I will get dressed and go for a walk, But I don;t seem to do it. I wind up on the computer and before I know it, hours have passed and it is late afternoon. So, then I give up and say I will do it tomorrow. I need to stop and just do it. I do need motivation.

That is somewhat like my situation. I do get caught up on the computer and lounge too much on it (when the boys let me). It is not healthy.

I usually always get dressed in a pair of jeans and a top each morning. There are some days when i will put on sweats until I am ready to go somewhere then I change.
Our goals are a lot alike. I am doing the vitamins, exercise, eating healthier, drink plenty of water, Spiritual Guidance goals. I have been pretty slack in those areas and need to really improve.
Good luck to you.

Yes our goals are alot alike! I was so good on Thursday. I got up got dressed, fixed my hair, took my vitamins and drank plenty of water. Not so bad to start. As the day wore on the twins got sicker and sicker and I had to give up the thoughts of exercise. We can only do so much. Thanks for stopping by.

i work 5days a week so the moment im home by then is for me to sleep for hours and hours then get up to eat proper meal. During weekends, same thing.. I sleep and stay in bed for like the whole day. Unless if i have somewhere to go. I dont expect visitors anyway. I live away from home and my place is off limits to friends or coworkers. This where i find peace and its my favorite place to relax so as much as possible, i dont entertain people once im home.
Exercise? No, not really. I walk sometimes though. One way of meditating. Vitamins? No. Church on Sundays? Yes. I sometimes spend a moment ttalking to Him while i lie down on my bed. It helps me feel better.

Although I haven't put it down in writing, I do have my own personal goals to improve my well-being, and on top of the list is to always have a positive attitude in everything. This I feel is important since everything else follows suit. I mean, I know I should keep myself healthy by exercising, making sure I eat the proper food, take my vitamin supplements, dress up properly... All these would be for naught if my attitude about it isn't positive enough.

beamer88 I thin that is one of the most important things to do. The positive attitude will nip trouble in the bud every time. Sounds as if you are on the right track. I am trying to get there.

I heard before: "take care of your body and your body will take care of you". Especially as I get older, I just try to do that so I can make the most of my well being, physically as well as mentally.

That is so true. Sort of like that saying "your body is your temple". Thanks for stopping by.

Here is a list of my personal well-being goals that I want to achieve by the end of this year:
1. Lose weight. I have already started on a diet and I can see that it is working. My goal is to shed at least twenty pounds by the end of the year.
2. Skin care. I am in my late thirties, though I have a skin care regimen that I have been using for nearly ten years now. The problem is that sometimes I forget to put on the creams and what not for days and then my skin becomes very dry. I don't really look my age, but I have noticed that my skin is more sensitive to light and weather changes recently. I guess it is because of age.
So far, these are the two goals that I need to work on this year. I do hope that I can achieve them, especially the one about weight loss because it will have long term health benefits.

Good luck anne. I did not add the skin care regime to my list but it is there as well. I always like to wash my face and put my moisturizer on daily. If I forget it I can tell. I hope you achieve your goals. Thanks for stopping by.

Dear Shellyann,
I get dressed as if I am going somewhere each day. I also eat healthy and drink a lot of water. I start every morning by reading a Bible verse and Daily Devotional. I am also a writer, so I spend time writing each day.
I think that keeping a schedule and having a daily rountine is very helpful for me.
Have a wonderful day!

That is great MandaLee, I am hoping that I can reach my daily goals. I am working on it. I really need to get into reading the Daily Devotional and Bible verses every day. I use to do that all of the time. I even had Daily Devotional's emailed to me to read and then I would always read the accompanying scripture with it. I lost track of the site that I used though. Thanks for stopping by.

hi shellyann,
What i usually do is that, when i wake up, i take a deep breath and pray. Second, i rise up and wash my face, brush my teeth, change clothes, go outside our house and feel the breeze of the cold air. What i don't do is exercise.. LOL.

Ditto on all of your goals! Staying at home is new for me as I recently gave up my career to be a mom and wife. I let myself slide for a bit after being sick, but now I'm back on track. It makes me feel better about myself and my husband appreciates it. I make sure that me and my son both get dressed for the day, brush our hair, etc. I'm not too keen on makeup, but I like to put on a little powder before I go run errands. I still reserve my nice perfume for dress up days though.
