A pleasant day dear Fellow Mylotters, As time goes by, I have noticed to myself that I am running out of good ideas to post as a new topic. As a result, I am not able to contribute new discussion. And I am just end up being a responder. My query is, do you also experience this feeling. That, there are times, you are just a plain responder to the topic and not the main contributor to a discussion.

hi airasheila. i've always been more of a 'responder' than a 'thread starter' so i really don't mind posting my comments in the discussions started by others. if i do have an idea i do my best to put it in writing in a manner that is both easy to understand and a joy to read for our fellow mylotters. additionally, as much as possible i try to write about situations or ideas that our fellow mylotters can relate to. i've started discussion that did not receive a single reply so there wasn't a discussion going on. there was no interaction at all!!! lol! anyway, i've learned my lesson so i try to write about topics that are relevant to a good number of my 'friends' here at mylot. if you really want to be a thread starter, what i can suggest is that you keep a notebook handy so you can write down immediately any ideas that come to your mind. it need not be the actual things that you will write down here in mylot but perhaps something like a summary of the idea/ideas that you want to discuss here. the first chance that you get, you can get your notebook of ideas and refer to it when starting the actual discussion here in mylot. at the end of the day, if you are here in mylot to earn, it really doesn't matter if you start a discussion or write a comment, what matters is that you write something lengthy and insightful that it contributes a new idea or expounds on a related idea in the discussion that you are commenting on. hope this helps airasheila! cheers and happy mylotting!!!
