My cat have worms. I saw worms on her vomit. Can I buy her over the counter medicine? I don't have money for a vet. Can you suggest any medicine. The worm is white/yellow in color or I thing it's cream. What will happen to my cat if I didn't cure her or didn't give her medicine for her worms?

I just went through my vet books about the worms. Has she lost a lot of weight? Is her coat dull? If not, then the situation isn't as dire. BUT, you still need to worm her. Like I said before, check with your local pet store and see what they have for worms. One of the things that the books said is after the worming to give her a bit of a richer diet to improve her weight, coat and feeling of well being. Worms also can be normal in animals that have fleas. You may need to de-flea her too. I wouldn't do it at the same time that you worm her as that would be too much chemical for her system. Like I said, I can't give more advice until I know more about your cat.

I'm not sure if her coat is dull or not. I think she just became thin and become a little dirty. And yeah she have fleas. She always scratch her neck and some part of her body.

All my cats have fleas but I think only one cat have worms. The one that I'm talking about. Because she is the only one who likes to eat any insects she caught. And she is the only one who often go out somewhere and she is the only one who is always hungry.

Please, and I'm not saying this in a mean way, take your cat to a vet. Many times a vet can work with you and let you pay the bill in smaller amounts over time, ask them, especially if they already know you. Your cat is your baby and would you let your baby go without medicine if she had worms? I don't understand why people have pets like this when they can't save enough money to pay for vet bills that are bound to turn up. I have had many cats and always saved money in case something had happened with them, they get sick too just like people. I know you love her and this worms stuff shouldn't be taken lightly, I pray you can get your cat some help. She can get worse if not taken care of quickly.

I actually want to take them to the vet but as of this time I can't because i don't have a job yet. I'm only depending on my parents. My parents don't really care about pets. I am the only one who cared a lot. And my cats are stray cats. And this one cat that have worms where not actually mine. She just came in our yard and joined my cats when I feed them and then she felt like it's her new home. At first I was shooing her away because we already have cats and my mom don't like a lot of cats in our yard. But whatever I did to shoo her she don't leave, so we just let her stay. And now this problem came. I'm planning to spayed her when I have enough money but it's not soon. No matter how I wanted to send her to the vet I just can't afford it at this time.

I'm not sure how much maybe around $100 for the regular vets. But we have PAWS here that gives discount and will only costs around $30 but I have to travel 3 hours via commute. I really appreciate all your kindness to help my cats but I'm not really comfortable getting money from other people that I don't know. Even though I know it's for the cats I'm hesitant to do that. And also I only have paypal that is unverified so I may not be able to withdraw the money if ever. But really thanks for the kindness. I really appreciate that. :) And oh, I remember one site. I actually seen one site that offers help for cat owners. They give help for expenses on vets but there are lots of steps to do. Maybe I'll search for that site again. And try if they can help me. Again thanks a lot for all the help. And God bless you all! :)

How much will it cost to have her spayed in your country? I already said I would kick in $10 USD, maybe some other members will help out too and we can get the poor fur baby in to see the doctor.

How old is the cat? Where did the cat come from? Is it from a breeder or was it a stray? Does your cat go outside? If so could the cat have eaten some rotten food that had fly eggs in it? You do need to give it medicine for the worms. It could die if there isn't treatment. Go to the local pet store and ask about medicine. Also, call vet clinics and see if there is one that can treat your cat and take payments. Many times when it is an emergency they will accept payments from low income people. I am sure that if you don't have the money for a vet your friends here at the lot can chip in a few bucks to help out. Personally I can kick in $10 how about the rest of you? I know we have helped out others for things like electric bills, Christmas trees and more. How about helping out a kitty? Let's not judge this poor frantic woman, lets reach out and help her! I am going to check my cat vet books and see what they say. But I do need the above information.

Thank you for your concern. She is a stray cat and I think she lose some weight. And she is often hungry. She always go somewhere to search for food. I often seen her eating a lizard. I am not sure how old she is because she just came here in our yard, maybe looking for home. She went here big already and she's more than one year here with me. She just have her kittens three months ago. I think it's her first kittens. But I don't know exactly how old she is. Too bad we don't have local vet here in our place. Because in our country people are not really concern about stray cats. I will just ask the local pet store maybe they know anything about it. Thanks so much for the help.

Sadly I know some countries don't have local vets, I do hope one day that changes. I'm glad that you have pet stores at least, and please keep us posted on this poor kitty. Bless you for wanting help to take care of her, I wish there were more people like you.

If your cat is vomiting up the worms, it is severely serious!!! It could die from them kind of serious. Hope this helps... http://animals.howstuffworks.com/pets/home-remedies-for-cats-with-worms.htm

You have to give it pills. I can't tell you name because they are different in different manufacturer. Something with Praziquantelum and Pyranteli on a empty stomach. What mean you don't have money?! Don't be irresponsible cats is your child, get borrow money from someone. I do not wont to be rough, but you cant be seriously. Always have chance. OK, OK, I want help your cat... hmm... go in shelter and ask for vet assistant if he work for charity will help and you have only to pay pills, they don't cost much. In some vet shop for food also have same pills. Just do something, please!

If you can't care for cat give it to someone. Be ones with him. Most pet owner know that is normal and ready to care for their child/cats. Please, give it to someon who will love it and not complaining about the cost. Please, please, please don't create one more homeless cat for something so small and regular!

That isn't being fair. She isn't complaining about the cost, she just didn't have money for an unexpected expense like a vet. Many people are on a very limited budget and they "budget" for vet visits. I nearly got evicted from my home because I had the choice to make of either taking my cat to the vet or paying my rent. The poor person is frantic and doesn't need to have someone chewing her out for the fact that she doesn't currently have the money for a vet. There are a lot of animal lovers that take in strays that have just enough money to feed them, and at that it is taking something away from them...but they have love in their hearts that they need to share and a cat is that being that they can love and not be judged like the humans do. I have given a lot of advice to people who are in the same position. She is reaching out for help, not a lecture.

I start with pills that she need, see again please! Yes I'm not tolerant, but I have experiences in shelter. You cannot imagine number of peoples who create homeless cat because are scary that they family will be infected. I don't blame her, I'm also are housewife, who mean I'm not very rich. But I can not afford once animal to suffers. Vet is not a luxe, is necessary. And this isn't will be the only time when will be need to go on vet. If really can't find money is better to find it new home. I'm sorry but is not enough to love cats. Don't take more cats than you actualy can feed, go on vet, and buy toilet.
